>>8583346My two main takeaways from this image are
1. it's really amazing what smart paint work and color choice can do for a figure's aesthetics because at a glance, LG Blurr looks pretty good while TR looks like dogshit.
2. that nice paint job is still nothing more than a mask that doesn't fix the underlying issues of the mold, from the awkward rounded shapes and lanky proportions to the visible huge hollow gaps everywhere, the shitty feet, giant partsforming backpack, forced headmaster gimmick, and really, just ugly sculpt overall. One can look at the LG version and see that it's clearly the better version but all it does is polish a turd. IMO Brainstorm did that mold better but even that still wasn't great.
I know SS86 basically duped the transformation scheme (which really wasn't the problem with the figure anyway) but it fixed so many of the things I hated about the TR figure. For me, it's a clear winnow over both LG and TR and the only reason anyone would argue otherwise is either they liked the headmaster gimmick or they paid a premium for the LG and don't want to admit it was a mistake to shell out for what was still a compromised figure.
