It is Spyrius. No big robots, just a stock Recon Robot in keeping with Spyrius being a modest faction in my universe, focused more on hit-and-run raids than the serious monorail-ripping affairs of bygone days. Perhaps one day they will be strong enough again to wield that kind of metal muscle.

I have all the sets except the Canadian TRU exclusive polybag. It is much better with more sets. Fortaan is a good stand alone if you want to test it out. Any set except the 2 smallest ones have a "full" version and you'll get the idea of the game.

also that means less ground pressure so you don't need prepared landing pads.

Each factory rushes production to make more money. Lego knows this and does not care because they know most sets will be built once and left to collect dust on a shelf somewhere. They don't care about the people who PLAY with their Lego because making your own stuff doesn't sell more sets. Lego is a brand licensing company that sees the manufacture and sale of plastic building blocks as a hindrance to easy money they could be making from selling Lego styled video games.

I like how the hair frames the face and she has a rather neutral, stoic or 'cool' looking face withou it being ostentatious or overly smug/angry

The character in my canon was often seen cool but distant or disinterested in people around her. Turns out that wasn't really true. She was just literally acoustic (for cars) and its not in her character to be overly expressive.
She eventually met my old n64 legoracers character i built IRL after my darkage. (the guy with in the back)
For some reason I named him 'Pif'. Starting with my actual name's first letter and then randomly hitting letters that sounded fun.
He's from the exotic Kahuka islands and moved to the mainland on space city to better follow his dream of racing. A kind and sensitive guy, who sometimes gets lost in translation.
While communication with the outside world isn't necessarily their strong suit, when together they speak the universal language. (of building cars)

She's more into modified cars. Building things for building's sake. Sometimes you have to do something just because it's cool and because you can.
He's more specialised in tuning cars to handle well. He spends a lot of time to allow cars tight cornering and to perform efficiently on track.
People in Space street often ask them to help fix their vehicles when something is wrong. Sometimes that gets out of hand.

And just a few days after I got the Crystal King of Power Miners, another great set came to my posession for 20$. And this time it's from Rock Raiders theme! Some parts are in like-new condition or very minor wear (including chrome pieces). The only problem is missing utensil and wrong face on the minifig (but it's the face of another rock raider guy)

I'm actually watching Jang's review of the Docks right now, and I don't regret not buying it. I didn't buy it when it came out for a reason. Ninjago City is a great set cause it's so creative and layered, whereas NC Docks is just cool cause it's big.

I've had USPS straight up lose 3 packages for me over the past 2 months, and literally everything that DOES make it to my mailbox is like a week or 2 late. Is this the state of USPS these days? I know they were bad before, but they've taken it to a new level of incompetent recently.

Might I add that I've had zero issues with Amazon, UPS, or FedEx. It's literally JUST USPS that's been fucking up.

How is that a problem? USPS has been shitty at their jobs since the 90's. USPS, DHL, and FedEx give customers the reliability they want. I'd be thrilled if Amazon delivered everything, honestly. I can count on one hand the amount of late packages I've had with them over the past 7 years.

No, this set is shit. I bought it years ago and was really hyped only for the most disappointing build of my life. Upon opening the box Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen crawled out and immediately started building the set. I tried to stop him but he wouldn't have any of it and he punched me in the gut when I asked if I could play with my legos, saying that the proper term was "constructing with LEGO Brand Automatic Binding Bricks" and if he heard me call them legos one more time he would call Ole Kirk from his grave to personally drag me to hell. Needless to say I was pretty pissed at this but what could I do? Once he'd finished building I thought that maybe he'd leave then, but no he starts playing with them too. I couldn't take it any more and just cried in the corner. I don't know when he finally left but I haven't touched the set since.

First i wanted to make like a small metro eurocar like an old Saab. I wanted to use the windscreen into those arches as i had those parts laying around. But the compact car thing didn't work out.
At the time i recently dug up an old technic set of my older brother that had the front steering rack parts. So for the contest i just took those ideas and tried putting them together. Used the wheels for another failed project, (i had exactly 5, because of one city/volcano set cheaterwheel)
I eventually liked how it was turning out so much I had a last minute bricklink order to get the yellow interior and u-joint to make the fifth wheel to work as a steeringwheel.

Originally it was supposed to have surfboards on the doors much like the upcoming creator set and a recycling arrow triangle on the hood as a joke to its recycled ideas/cars origins.

Recently in the game wreckfest I made an old green Saab with red and yellow checkeredflag sides. I pretty much subconsciously made the failed legocar i once tried to make that turned into the Big Snake.
I don't know why but cars can get ingrained in your psyche on a deep psychological level.
It's like vrooming is some unga-bunga tier human [spoiler:lit]drive[/spoiler:lit].

You mean a universal joint? They're very useful for transferring rotations around angles and can be used for all kinds of purposes. They're used in real cars too to connect the crankshaft to the rear wheels.

Something to keep in mind about U joints is that they don't transmit a constant rotational velocity around an angle, which is a problem if you have them connected directly to wheels because it means your wheels can't spin at a constant speed. Pic related is a CV joint which does. It used to be that you had to make your own CV joints with a rather complicated assembly, but it's a lot easier now that they have these things.

I use dish soap. Get a handful of dirty Lego and put it in a big, clean styrofoam cup with a few drops of soap and hot water. Then swish it around for a bit before rinsing it clean. You can use the plastic lid as a strainer.

For smaller animals, like anything as small as a tarantula to as big as a horse, sculpted are better. Brick-built critters at that size just won't be able to have enough detail put into them to be worth it, and will more often than not just look like an oddly-shaped pile of bricks.

For anything larger than that, brick-built is better. They're big enough to have enough detail sculpted into them, especially if SNOT techniques are employed, and they can usually have some nice poseability to make them more interesting to fiddle around with. Large molded animals also have a tendency look out of place among LEGO sets; if they didn't have some obligatory studs put on their backs (that never get used), you'd think they came from some off-brand toyline. Plus they inflate the price of the sets they come with something fierce.

That's an interesting strategy, I might consider doing it when I have kids. I was considering keeping my 5-10 favorite sets and minifigs (probably like 40 of those cause I get attached to minifigs easily) away from the kids and letting them do whatever they want with the rest. Would you let the kid play with every set you have? If yes, then your strategy actually seems less strict than mine.

Review says suspension isnt screwy like the bugatti chiron and you can see the gearbox mechanism (Reminds me of my old 8880 super car set that i loved as a kid).

I generally like technic sets sinve its the complicated gear mechanisms that I loved, not the overall modelling appearance. BUT I just spend AUD450 getting the new mindstorms set just this Monday and I dont know if my wllet can take it >_<

Target's toy section was wiped out here today. There were like 1 or 2 misc sets but most of all the toy isles were like that. I didn't even think about going into Walmart today with the lines of people out the door waiting to get in.

I really loved both as a child. But I lost that spark with playmobil. Even though I went into a dark age with lego I still thought about it often. And my dark ages with lego ended. I’m sure there are /pmg/ dudes with similar experiences but with lego and playmobil flipped. Playmobil is still a great little toy though. I’m not sure why people lump them together. But they were 2/3 of my preferred toys. The other being Green/Tan Army Men. There was almost a link in my mind back then even if I can’t really see it now.

Simple way:
>Wand select tool on color you want to change
>Change sensitivity or just keep shift clicking (or control I forget) to add to the selection
>Filters: Color shift

Some dumb convoluted way:
>New layer, paint fill entire thing with the color you want
>Wand tool the offending spot like before
>Add mask to the newly made layer using selection
>Fuck around with blending mode of layer until it looks like what you want
You can also adjust the mask layer itself if the wand missed spots or change the color directly without affecting what it's covering. Weakest part of this is the blend mode usually doesn't react how you'd expect/want.
In that case, mask a copy of the main image and color shift that.

World Builder is just a Lego sanctioned FanFic site that they are going to use to make new themes from. You can make a completely new idea or add on to other people's ideas. If your FanFic is good enough they will pay you and anyone who worked on it a small one time fee for the idea.
