If vehicle economy worked similarly to figures, where people actually had the budget to buy a lot of them and it was worth saving the money reusing the molds, it would make total sense to sell the channel 6 van too, so you could have before and after it was converted into the turtle van
but then again, the changes were so severe I'm not sure you'd even be able to reuse much.

I had bathroom problems as a kid and used to hide my feces in the party wagon until they dried out, then I’d deposit them in the toilet. Never cleaned it. One day my sister played with it with her barbies before I had a chance to empty it out. I think it's a combination of the frequency of difficulty eliminating or controlling it at that age, the easy-clean nature of plastic toys (one assumes this didnt happen as much in the old days of wooden toys even though people had to use chamber pots and outhouses for a lot of those years), and just wanting to explore and see what you can get away with. I peed in a trash can as a young man just because I could, and it felt crazy trying to force my body to let me do it since it had a hard "toilet not detected" lock on that. It sucked having to hose it out later, but I mean, no harm done.

plus they were efficient. by the 2003 series, even basic motorcycles were stupidly undersized.. but a bike should already be an easy sell at a good scale, and in the old days they were really creative about unique vehicles in an attainable price class. I'd imagine that it will have a gunner seat when Super7 does their's. There's certain things like that which weren't on the vintage toy that will have to be there. I'm essentially expecting it to look more like the toon version, but with some alternate toy colored guns and mirrors and perhaps the toy decals printed on it. ALSO, the cartoon version is more closely based on He-Man creator' Mark Taylor's concept art for the Party Wagon. Before Taylor was brought on there was an idea for a Turtle Van, which was basically just a regular van that didn't really do anything-- Mark Taylor basically created the Party Wagon according to statements he made.

Included here is Mark Taylor's version of the Turtle Van.

I often left stickers off my vehicles so I could have the option to take them in the tub without ruining the stickers if I wanted them on later on. I had experience where I took a Footski in the tub and the paper stickers just all got wet and fell off. That aside TMNT toys were the best in the tub and at pools.

Yeah, there's a major demand for vehicles. I heard the vintage Mutant Module might be able to hold Neca figures inside, but nobody ever posts pics of it. The inside is essentially like a giant empty coffin so it makes sense that larger figures might fit.

I got this one Christmas and I almost always had him on the tub with me.

Funny story, one of my distant cousins was over at my house for Christmas while I was at the grandparents, and he pulled the feet off. They on hinges, so I could pop them right back on, but I was bought a 2nd to replace the "broken" one, so I had one for the tub and one to keep.

I was going to ask that question using a different email account so I could sneak in another question, because there's some of the more wacky weapons I'd like to get from different versions of the Turtles. The brightly colored and weird accessories are one of the major draws to the Playmates line for me, they always make the figures just that much more appealing to see. I also wanted to ask if we could get a release of just Mousers, and ask if there was a chance for more repaints like they did with Baxter, such as getting April in her green News Van outfit just to get some more releases out there.

I loved that leatherhead too, and I've been imagining him redone in a larger size since I saw Wave 2 - Shredder standing upright and bebop being a fucking chonky ass giant.

I'm hoping that they tweak him so he's upright like in the cartoon, because I never liked the toy crouch playmates gave him, although I understand it's to give him a crocodile shape (and fit him in the package like kneeling shredder), it also made his toy much smaller than the turtles, compared to his size in the cartoon.

The joint that immediately springs to mind is the lego killer croc one - it allows his head to look straight up for the semi-prone crocodile position, but would also allow him to stand up straight and reposition his head to look forward. Having said that, I'm not sure this joint would look as nice on a heavily detailed toy, it kind of depends on the clean cartoony aesthetic to disguise the joint.

Yeah that's my preferred method but the online store I normally use that let's you pay a 10% deposit dragged its feet on wave 3 so I ended up going with another one that had you pay up front (though it worked out cheaper).

I hate to be a negative Nancy but I’m super bummed out by the S7 reveals last week. I think nothing was TMNT related, correct?

Sorry, but once they lost the MOTU license, I lost interest in them except for TMNT which I think is incredible and I love it to death.

And I have to imagine it’s the most popular thing they’re making now, right? By light years. How many people are buying Conan figures compared to turtles? I have no interest in thundercats but Bryan Flynn said the market was super small.

Well, every company has limited resources. So S7 diverted their resources to making a thundertank rather than a turtles vehicle. So now any TMNT vehicles will be delayed to account for other crappier, less popular brands. Sorry if I offend any true Thundercats fans, but it’s taking their staff away from turtles stuff which would be a bigger seller, because turtles stuff will make more people happier.

But I know what S7 is doing. If they put out a $400 turtle vehicle now, then less people might buy Thundertank in 6 months. But if you put out thunder tank now, there’s so much pent up demand for turtles vehicles, they’ll sell the same amount either way.

I’m actually bummed they’re bothering with thunder cats at all because imagine if we had 10 waves of TMNT by now! Now they claim they want to stagger licenses so people can save up between them,.

Just feels crappy that it seems like all of their lessor licenses are getting love and I’m still waiting to see what the retooled April figure looks like. I wouldn’t be surprised if S7 is making 90% of their money from turtles this year but is only dedicating 10% of their resources to it.

right yeah, so my thinking is that they didn't want to copy the ugly dull-looking one with the really flat hair, but that doesn't mean they should ignore the toys entirely, since several of them were quite nice.
Safe to guess super7 will at least give her a jumpsuit that looks like the figure's, with the added stripes and such saying "We are making an action figure here, not a block of plastic" in contrast to the solid colors the animation model obviously benefited from.

The thundertank is coming now because the line will be on life support in another 2-3 waves or so. The only characters that are left that can guarantee sales and easily push a whole wave are the thunderkittens, Bengali, Snarf and vultureman. Turtles can probably last for as long as they are allowed to use the license, but thundercats will already be on its last legs around the time the tank comes out.

I think if the line lasts they’ll probably do the 2011 stuff but it’s a big question how long it really will once they burn through the main cast. I know I don’t particularly want the lunataks or most of the tertiary characters barring maybe a few like driller and I expect a lot of other people buying feel the same way, just get the core cast and the mutants and get out.

I’ve added a few things since, mainly the deluxe Donatello/Shredder, and Super Shredder. As far the vintage figs I still need about five or six more to wrap it up as far as I’m concerned. From what I remember it’s: Dirtbag, Chrome Dome, Anthrax, Slice an’ Dice Shredder, Movie Splinter and a Mouser(sucks how expensive they’ve are). At some point I’d like a get another ten or so foot soldiers just to have an actual ‘clan’, lol.

Yeah that interview was pretty bad.
The guy was no awkward whenever Brain Flynn stopped talking, like he had nothing to add other than asking another question, most of which "can we get this? Can we get that? Will you make those?" which did end up confirming some things but overall didn't lead to much.
The only "big" information we got was that they now have up to wave 9 planned (previously they were only up to 7), they have a crossover planned and that April has been completely remade.

They're not floppy on mine. I have two Raphs tho, and one of them has a slightly loose arm that can flop around fairly easy. He holds weapons and poses just fine, but it's noticeable that one arm is tighter than the other.

Yea, I remember it was buoyant as fuck. I'd pop the front off and let it fill with water to submerge, there was this floopy water sound when ya would do it. Baths where I planned to play with it were always filled to the brim.
