I'm hoping some of these rumours come true
I'm sure the FF retro wave will be the blue and white costumes, although I would prefer pure 60's costumes since I missed out on the Walgreens exclusives

Also weird that they'd do Hydra Sumpreme, I'd be surprised if they went with this design since it's so overtly Nazi looking. Hopefully we get a good classic Red Skull out of it, finally

The leak seemed to allege that a Red Skull head would be included with Hydra Supreme. Fingers crossed, it’s a little too military for me because I want just the plain green jumpsuit (which I can customize to have a Nazi armband) but I’ll settle for this look. Just needs to be green honestly.

There have been a couple new molds that still use pins, but they’re definitely trying to move away from them, short of redoing every existing mold to be pinless. I won’t lie, it’s very nice, but as a customizer I shudder in horror thinking of how to take them apart without mangling them.

Originally I wanted to have T'Challa looking at Namor as well, with his claws drawn like that, so there were two layers of it with completely different vibes, but it seemed too much.
I also wasn't comfortable with Namor just sitting there mirin, which is why I also had Sue and Reed have their arms behind one another.
I'm all for the tease, but there will be no cuckoldry on my shelves.

I've never minded the pins because so often I have to do some kind of correction to MLs out of the box. Sometimes swapping out a leg joint or arm joint or so. This is aesthetically more pleasing but I am dreading these having the same QC as the current batch making them a nightmare to fix.

That’s a fair point. I dunked Storm’s legs in hot water, and I really don’t know how they got this all together.
From what I can tell, the knee is one piece, and the thigh and shin are also one piece—with single bars that go through the knees without any gaps. Looks like a similar method as whatever they do to get the elbow joint into the forearms on this Storm and any of the Star Wars Black Series figures with single elbows.

I don’t think it’s a click-in peg. In fact, it was strangely rectangular-shaped, which I think also accounts for the ratcheting. But what I could see appeared to be a seamless piece, though I could be wrong. I like this figure too much to chop it up, though.

Mixing and matching stuff is good.
What I do is I pay a little more for a import for main characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine, meanwhile smaller time heroes or villains I get MLs or DS.

This shit has never happened to me before, my one friend got butt fucked as he bought 2016 Carnage, Thanos and some other figure and they got re-released within the same year. Thanks a lot guys! I'm a silver age reader. (Have all the omnibuses) so i'm mostly looking for tales of suspense and the early im/ca stuff.

Saw the ml modok recently and really love that color and design, so was thinking of starting there and maybe building out with characters that scaled and fit the aesthetic.

Some figures work, some don’t. Venom and Sabretooth work okay on the Omega Red body, but Cable and Bishop would look terrible.

Can’t really think of anyone who’s better suited to Bucky Cap than Sunfire though. Sunspot, Cyclops, even Spymaster would’ve been better on the sunfire mold. Really grinds my gears that Union Jack was supposed to be and then suddenly got booted back to Bucky Cap.

Yeah, around $10 US is the lowest I've seen from an actual store. I know that in the UK you can sometimes get better deals, but only in their physicals stores. They never have it up on their webpages, much less ebay because they know people on distance are willing to fork out the dough

It really depends, inDemand Toys just recently put a bunch of stuff of clearance and the animation wave and sugar man wave were both down to 7.99 a figure.
Comicandcocktails had some good stuff during black Friday like War Machine for 19 and deluxe Black Widow for 13.

I think he gets a lot of undo praise because people seem to think he was the sole driving force behind early Marvel and he definitely played it up a bit but I can't say I hate him.
He was a big part of early marvel and did add a lot of good ideas, I just wish the other creators got more recognition for their work.

I don't get it, they're willing to make a $30 toy of a fairly obscure character and absolutely knock it out of the park, but the rest of the line absolutely must stay at $20.

Collectors are the only people who consistently buy these anymore, and I fucking guarantee you that these would be so much better quality at $30 that they would sell better to casual toy-buyers. People would absolutely pay the extra $10 for the toys to be near Figuart in presentation.

The suit does pop up every now and then. It was in the game Spiderman Shattered Dimensions, and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. I don’t think I’d say it’s MORE popular now due to the MCU, but it’s had some staying power for sure.

Regarding the lack of Immortal Hulk wave:

1. Hulk doesn't sell. Note the last couple of Hulk figures have been either limited edition store exclusives, BAFs, or paired with a more popular character (Wolverine)

2. Most of the proper body horror figures would require EXTENSIVE retooling that can't be reused and would be, if you are to be frank, $30-40 figures if released.

3. No fucking store will sell a figure called "Devil Hulk"

4. The ONLY character in Immortal Hulk people would want to see get a figure, who hasn't had one yet, is Titania and you'd basically have a situation where NO ONE wants the Immortal Hulk costume version of her and want instead her ever-green look so they can put her with the Masters of Evil and Secret Wars villain group.

That said, if you HAVE to do one it would best look like this:

1. Regular vanilla Hulk with alternate Devil Hulk head

2. Reissue of Sasquatch from the Deadpool wave on single card

3. Classic Titania

4. "Joe Fixit" in Bruce's body

5. Dario Agger (human form)

6. Dr Sampson

7. Moonstone (classic costume, not any of her Thunderbolts costume)

Dario's Minotaur form could easily be made as of now with pieces from the Joe Fixit. Really, Hasbro could make a few characters with that and the Hulk body. Primarily, several of Hulk's rogues, they could even use parts from Sasquatch and Wendigo for Xemnu.

Disagree in that you can save money for the Red Harpy figure by doing a human figure of Dario and having him share the same suit mold with Joe Fixit human edition, if they go with the first appearance of Joe in Bruce's body (suit version with neatly tripped mustache and hair) and not the later wild and wooly mullet and Hawaiian shirt version).

Especially since Dario's minotaur form will probably be earmarked for the Thor 4 film line since he's the big bad in it.

Also, we already have a Leader figure and Abomination movie figure released and given the choice and desire to make fans happy, do you think they'll give us a literal who in Xemu or Sasquatch, given that they just put out an Alpha Flight set and it's release made Sasquatch's BAF go up in price with people trying to complete the team, especially given how hard to find Deadpool wave BAFs are due to those waves selling out fast?

And not to mention that Devil Hulk is basically identical to regular Hulk save for an evil look on his face and you can just save that retooled head for the next evergreen Hulk store exclusive.

I got my Stilt-Man and frog today, both are very fun and Frogman is easily one of my favourite Marvel Legends I own (which admittedly isn't many but still).
My only gripe with Stilt-Man is that I think his head is a but too big.

Speaking of Dorkside, different anon here. They had the Deluxe Thanos early, so I took a chance on grabbing him.

He's a good figure, definitely really enjoyable to have on display. If I had to gripe about anything, I don't think the King Thanos head was necessary. Between cosmic Ghost Rider and Fallen Surfer, I can at least see why it was included.

The other gripe I have is a personal QC issue. Mine came with a paint chip automatically in the box, bit of blue exposed under the gold on one ear. Might have to get a second one once he's released in full force.

But is he worth it? Pretty much, yeah.

Yeah. Dorkside will open a few cases and sell "loose" figures, and then "loose complete BAF" figures from the new waves.

So if you're a boxfag, you can buy them normally, if you don't care and just want like, one of the dudes in the wave, you can get them for cheaper (depending on character popularity, iron man might still be 18.99 loose but like, literalwho will be 9.99) and then the baf is usually about 60-80 bucks depending on how much people care about it.

Shipping-wise, your loose figs come in a bubble mailer instead of a box.

I only really want notDarcy and Tri-Sentinel, so it's a bit of a bummer they didn't sell the baf set this time around.
