I mean, judging from the wave, we can probably expect Darkstar, Guardsmen, Stealth Iron Man, and Modern Iron Man to be mostly reuse. That leaves plenty of room for Ultron, Ironheart, and Modular Iron Man to be brand new bucks.

Yeah, these figures were really not good. Janky sculpts, sloppy paint, horrid poseability.

Also, I still don't understand the bizarrely posed hands they gave him. They didn't even pack in swappable hands back then, so this is all you got.

You misunderstand my post. I'm not saying it was the norm or that we should have gotten them (swappable hands didn't really hit until the Iron Man II line, and even then it took a while for it to trickle down to MLs). I'm saying that in that time period before swappable hands, they chose to stick you with two bad options: one hand that appears to be measuring something, and one open-palmed one with a curiously raised index finger for some reason. The latter looked strange as a repulsor blast hand thanks to that finger, I don't get why they did it.

New to marvel legends, Yes I'm an MCU normie, I never got into the comics as a kid and stuck with star wars, too invested to get into Marcel comics now so the mcu is more than enough for me.

All the loose figures are thanks to some anon from the /bst/ that gave me a good deal, the cap 2 pack I got for only $21 shipped from Woot! A couple of weeks ago and I found the vision, Wanda set at a local comic store for only $45 a month ago.

So far really liking these figures, I was surprised by how different the plastic feels to Black Series and I fucking love how many accessories you get. I'm so used to getting raped by lack of anything with black series

Pic related is the virtual armor. Which I mistakenly referred to as the hologram armor.

My understanding is that Tony went into a coma in Civil War II. During this time, his brain was copied as AI Tony, the figure we’re getting in the Shang Chi wave. Classic Iron Man suit, but his head is all hologram-y. He was convinced that he was a clone of the actual Tony, since his memories cut off after, I wanna say Norman Osborn’s siege of Asgard.

At any rate, he uses a computer program to fix his body, and voila, Tony stark is alive again. However, he’s convinced that he’s an AI, considering his brain is a copy and his body was remade artificially. He shrinks a drone and checks out his cells at a microscopic level, to discover that they’re artificial, officially making him an “AI” and his body a “robot”.

With this in mind, he fights his brother Arno, the new Iron Man, and loses. He dies, and his body gets remade using genetic material from his parents, resulting in him getting a real body when he comes back to life again. Then, he uses his “virtual armor” to fight Arno and win.

Long story short, AI Tony is what we’re getting in Shang Chi wave, and “virtual armor” is what we’re getting in the iron man wave. Also comics are dumb and unoriginal, since Matt Fraction already did the “Tony’s brain is a computer” thing and it made more sense.

Even at the time I remember thinking they were pretty shit toys. However, the IM1 toyline did give us a few "mission-specific" armors near the tail end of the line, which felt so beautifully 90s and reminded me fondly of all those goofy gimmicky Batmen and Spidermen.

And of course, as we all know, Hasbro hit the IM2 line outta the park. Those are probably some of my favorite toys they've ever made.

Nah, he’s just in “peak physical condition” from training with cap. Not really sure where that places him on the scale, since I assumed Cap’s serum only put him in “peak physical condition” as well, If I had to guess, I’d probably say something like average human is x.5 strength, Falcon and Daredevil are x1, Cap and Black Panther are x1.1, and someone like Spider-Man is like x8 or something crazy.

In real-world terms, the world record for an axle press is about 475 lbs. I'm using axle press as a metric because the Marvel chart I'm using dictates that it goes by "weight that can be lifted over a character's head with arms extended." So, let's talk numbers:

Sam can press 480 lbs, which already puts him just over the world record. So he's basically the limits of humanity, yeah.

Cap can lift 800 lbs, so the serum made him around twice the strength of the world's strongest man.

Spidey can lift 25 tons (50k lbs), though apparently this has changed over time for story reasons.

Most of the REALLY heavy hitters are who you'd expect, like Galactus or the Hulk, but there are several odd ones. Like, both Beta Ray Bill and Groot can apparently lift over 100 tons (200k lbs).

To be fair I have like half a dozen MCU Shields so him missing one doesn't matter much to me. I'm really debating on how much of this wave I'm going to be in for. I really enjoyed Wandavision so I'll probably snag those two# but Falcon and Winter Soldier hasn't captured my attention quite yet. They didn’t, but there were some behind the scenes photos taken during filming. They might digitally edit it, but the prop shield he was carrying was identical to Cap’s, since it’s caps shield in the show. I don’t think they’re changing it, or going with US Agent’s black and red scheme at all. Maybe in later episodes though, idk.

I wouldn’t cry about a Betsy Captain Britain either but no one else really needs to be done for me to be happy. Same man, I love it. I finally got the Krakoa wave yesterday, and while I didn't get a fucked up Jean like others that I've seen, she still gets turbo mogged by Classic Rogue and Moira IMO. Marvel seems to be trying to avoid Jean having anything to do with the Phoenix, but whether it is what you posted, or another suit down the line, I really hope we get another Jean fig in a different costume down the line in the run.

Evo just getting an animated wolverine / sabretooth two pack as a limited release in the same way the foxmen just got the magento/prof x two pack would actually be cool.

Ideally we'd get a whole wave with some of the most unique villain designs (toad and avalanche would be my top picks but the whole brotherhood were solid character designs in my opinion.)

But if they dabble with the fox-men formula (2 iconic character single packs, and one two-pack with two important if less iconically costumed characters), then it might be possible? I just wish they'd done a different line up for the deadpool wave, I would've loved prison jumpsuit Juggernaut in there somewhere.

We've wanted spoilers on toy since at least this toy, but we've never gotten them.

Falcon getting the shield back in time for his next movie appearance is kind of an obvious assumption, especially considering the TV shows aren't supposed to be mandatory viewing to understand the movies they lead into.

Which is sad because it's honestly the best of the three. It's not perfect, but the fact that they're doing their own thing instead of being too tied to the comics gave them more room to breathe than TAS and WATX did.

Also TAS just didn't age well. It sucks because I loved it as a kid but re-watching it it's just not very well made and when you get down to it a lot of its plots are really watered down versions of stories from the Claremont years. Also a lot of the actors are primarily live action actors who aren't used to doing voice work and it really shows, there ARE some standouts that do a great job but there's a serious "meh this is a kids show I'm not gonna try" vibe to a lot of the voice acting in TAS.

XTAS was never good, but i was like 12 or 11 when it first came out, so i was at the tail end of who the show was for.

Also, B:TAS existed and there was no way anyone could compare the two and not realize the huge gap in quality. Both in animation and writing. So even if you only knew cartoons back then, B:TAS should have elevated your standards.

Evolution wasn't as bad as the haters thought it was, and wasn't as good as the fans thought it was.

As a fan of the Fox Kids show, I liked that Evolution focused on characters that were only in a few episodes of the previous program.

Them going to regular high school was pretty dumb, though. Imagine sending your kid off to a special private school just for monster children, only for the "Professor" to then send them off to the local public school. I'd want my money back.

I’m going to say “technically, no.” Mostly due to Abomination BAF being released months earlier as part of an SDCC exclusive set.

However, I find it VERY unlikely that they would tool a one-use mold, just to have to remake it for the purpose of using it as a BAF. The Nimrod figure doesn’t come apart the way a normal BAF does, so they’d have to reverse engineer it, which has been done before with Super Skrull, Sauron, and Demogoblin. But that leads me to believe this “leak” is BS. Also why would they make Nimrod, a non-BAF mold, the BAF, and make Apocalypse, a BAF mold, a single pack figure?

I always thought that was done to get them used to interacting with regular society, since one of the old complaints about Xavier's School was that despite his dream about mutants and humans coexisting the X-Men just lived in a closed off mansion estate where they never really had to interact with regular humans.

Probably a crapshoot, but is there a way of getting replacement shoulder pads for that Select Hulkbuster from a bit ago? I found one in a cheap lot but didn't realize the honeycomb patterned shoulder pieces weren't there. Might try and figure something out if there's no way of getting replacement parts outright, it's a pretty neat piece.

The black suit Superman wore was accurate to the source material. I don't agree with the Snyder time table of blowing their load that early for The Death of Superman. Also, you know US Agent will get a black and red costume by the end of the show and Hasbro will release it.

I’ll never not be angry about this. There’s like twelve variations of Giant Man or Goliath they could’ve shelled out for, and they’d have been compatible with both 6” and 3 3/4”. They could’ve outdone every Toybiz BAF if they tried. Sentinels would’ve flown off the shelves, even at the ridiculous $60 price point. Makes sense, since the Amazon exclusive one was $100. Would’ve really loved a new big Apocalypse though. Chances of another one are slim.
