I stopped buying CHUG but I think it's cool they're doing SG stuff because a lot of those repaints are cool and the aftermarket on them is stupid high.
Personally I hope we get more organic beasts, I like most of the ones we've gotten so far.

For me, I don't like Shattered Glass because it's the epitome of "recoloring old toys and acting like they're new."
I considered buying some for the characters that I'm really fond of, but getting new characters and figures I don't already have is the better option.

Hasbro has the excuse to not bother with retools since they can just push out a shitload of DIACLONE repaints. Excluding the Botcon shit, Hasbro/Takara Tave has made a total 6 SG figures in the last decade and 4 of them are just Prime in purple. You just want to reee at things that are not there.

Since the creation they just make repaints anon, they took one plane toy and made 6 figures out of it, in G2 they took unused GoBots and just named them big name characters, Almost every deluxe mold in Beast wars got a repaint deco, a quarter of RiD toys were just recycled toys, the UT trilogy almost repainted every single figure including Unicron.
Every single Transfomers line is about excuses to not bother with new molds or retools. I think you need to take a step back and look over what you are really cranky about.

You're missing my point. I have no problem with repaints or minor retools. Especially if they can give us new toys of characters that need them. I would rather guys like say The Omnibots get new figures even if they're repaints as opposed to "Blurr but he's dark blue because, he's like evil, now. Ratchet, but he has some green on him this time."

I hate when Shattered Glass reuses molds or color schemes of different characters, like Diaclone stuff. I think those other color schemes should be their own guys, and Shattered Glass should be the same molds as the original, but with new color schemes.

It just doesn't feel right for the evil version of a character to have a totally different body.

I think he looks good, rhinoceros mode has near detailing that echoes well the actual animal's horns, the articulation looks much better than the old one, the proportions feel more like the show model than the old one did, and "you coulda bought the old one when it was new!!" is a moot point since it still wouldnt fit aesthetically with the new collection nor does it change the fact it happened years and years ago to the point where some people have joined the hobby that just were not buying shit back then, not everyone in here is a 40 year old.

I only own about 6 blast effects, which I share with about 30+ bots, so having a blast effect pack is a little on the essential side for me. That plus the fact that there's a LAVA TRICERATOPS, which is totally rad. Unfortunately, the price for a Hasbro Pulse subscription are what kill it, though. Really not willing to shell out an additional $50 just for this, so as much as I want it, I'm ultimately going to have to pass on it.

"Looks identical" is weird to say, he visibly has better clearance on nearly every body part, which is just as important as the actual joint being there, specially in Rhonox case where stuff like his samurai skirt has to be accounted for.

Anyone that claims he "fits well" is frankly factualy wrong and no amount of 'but other close-enoughs on the internet!!" change that. His molded detail has never followed the Kingdom style of detailed "realistic-ish" beast modes with added mechanical detailing to the robot mode. It's not about "real world accuracy" it's about the mere fact that getting a texture and shaping in a figure that really does manage to evoke the real deal is not only fun, it is also, again, fitting better with the other figures of the line that have already come out. And 40 was a quip at the fact your average adult transformers fan is now hovering his 40s, don't waste your time taking it so seriously, fact stands the original toy came 7 years ago and 7 years is a hide-god-damn-time-frame for people that weren't in the hobby before to have joined it now. Specially in the Beast Wars age range. I grew up on the show and was 19 when the Generations Rhinox came out for example and wasn't even working yet and thus only managed to grab him for myself due to extra money I had sitting around, only now I have been able to afford "whole lines"

It made a vague amount of sense on the Siege stuff for the framing they were using, but you can't fucking print on battle damage, you need a layer of black and a highlight to make scraped metal pop, otherwise it just looks like paint slapped on top instead of paint worn down. No clue why they even attempted it, let alone kept it going despite knowing nobody liked it for three fucking years.

Pins are only really removeable if you cace access to both sides and can force it out with a similar sized pin and alot of fnagling. Galv has no way to access the pin and as a result would be basically impossible to disassemble without destroying the shoulder, least from what we can see now. So yeah probably fucked forever.

The plan was to flood the stream today with comments about it, hoping they can fix it before release, or do a running change.

I think (and now hope) Hasbro's misunderestimating the amount of excitement there is for blast effects, but we'll see.. Really wish Hasbro actively tried to fuck scalpers over instead of 3P. Seriously, though, we've got Wingfinger, Transmutate, and possible Tricranium as Maximal Fossilizers, and I suspect we'll be getting a Predacon repaint of Wingfinger to balance out the teams. I think Kingdom from the neck down looks fine (fake jaw chest w/ gaping slots down the middle aside), but even something as small as making the mouth wider would do wonders for that head sculpt.

An upgrade kit with a new head and some gun chunks could be worthwhile, though knowing 3P it would be cruddy printed sets w/ obvious lines all over

That's what masterpiece is for. I'd rather have the realistic beast modes like the OG toys. Those have a more mainstream appeal anyway. Cartoon animals would be a bit weird for the aesthetic.

Okay, so normally I tend to dump new stock images whenever we get a new batch of them, probably because I un-ironically have a rather mild amount of autism.
But by my count there are 69(nice) new Kingdom images on the Pulse store, even without the Soundwave or Green Vertebreak being on there yet. (Plus another 12 of the Robosen OP)
