don't bump the camera, use a remote capture button if possible

Okay listen up losers. I am the anon who works in the Lego Ideas Approval Department. You probably all remember me from the last couple rounds of Lego Ideas review announcements. Many of you probably saved my last image showing which sets would be approved and which would not, along with the reasons for many of the sets' failures. In a few days you can compare my image to the results and see that I am legit. I actually like some of the posters here, so once again I will share with you the future results of Ideas submissions being reviewed right now. Again I will remind you of a few simple unofficial rules we have in place that should be kept in mind going forward. These apply to creating new submissions AND voting. Don't even bother voting for any of the builds that violate these rules because it just wastes me and my co-workers' time having to "review" these awful, awful builds. (Also, I know some of you go to Reddit, so please spread these unofficial Ideas rules on the Lego threads there. I have a feeling most of these shit builds come from Reddit users.)

1. No more licenseshit, for the love of all that is holy. It's called "Lego Ideas", not "Lego Rip Off Your Favourite Toxic Pop-Culture Trash Because You Have Shit Taste and Zero Creativity and Inspiration".

2. Nothing stolen. Meaning don't submit things that have already been created and exist in already released or upcoming official Lego sets. Bike lanes fit this category.

3. Lego doesn't do religion. It has been known for a long time that Lego likes to stay away from the world of religion, organized or otherwise. The influx of NASA shit and "realistic" space shit is an obvious symptom of the disease of the new age concept of Science as Religion. We know Lego has a lot of liberal boomer fans that worship science, but we don't, so get the fuck out of here with this.

4. Stop making objects. This is so boring. If you want a paperweight, then go outside and get a rock.

So what’s the deal with Shop at Home and VIP and all that shit? People shill it constantly especially on YouTube, but I genuinely don’t see what the point is.
There are no good rewards except for the discounts, but to get enough points to get the discounts you have to buy sets at the ridiculous prices LEGO sells them for. You’ll save more money buying from whatever retailer has the set cheapest than buying it from LEGO during with double points and using them on discounts. Even with the promos you can just buy them on bricklink and even if you also bought other sets, you’d still be paying less because LEGOs prices are so retarded. Like seriously is there ANY reason to use this shit at all?

It's at the bottom right, sort of obscured by the tree

Here's a view from the front - there is another of the 4 wide black LURP that's a bit hard to make out by the ladder on the bottom right that leads into the throne room, secret entrance sorta thing

The open area above the throne room is going to be another parapet area large enough for a dragon to land on (dragon also fits in the throne room underneath)

Other than that, I just need to fill out the inside walls probably the last WIP update before it's fully completed

Corner garage is probably the next modular to retire, so I'd suggest that one if you're collecting.

Also save enough points for the VIP coin probably

Honestly for technic, after building one or two of the complicated gearboxes I'm done with them, so if you really want the most complicated and impressive go landrover, but it's readily available at 20% sale, so wouldn't pay full price. The small mobile crane looks comfy, but I def prefer the big boy MK II.

Also, my lego BNP orders are finally starting to come through! Here's a small haul - all of those tan corner slopes are to build an adventurer style pyramid moc, and the boba helmet is a great source of new sand green

You should try a mirror build sometime anon it's fun.

You can do it with any set, as long as it doesn't entail an asymmetric use of angled bricks, which you'd need to separately get the mirrored counterparts

I am collecting and modulars are top on my list, so I think corner garage will be what I go with.

I only started collecting this past year or so, and somehow didn't know anything about the coins.

I've only done one techic build and it was Dom's charger and it fun, but I did want something more complicated.

The MKII crane does look a lot nicer than the one available right now and its price used isn't too bad. Are there any other retired technic sets going for the $200-250 range that really stick out as something I should get?

The corner garage was somewhat of a disappointment. Too much empty space in front of the building, nothing much in the bottom floor plus ugly colors, and the top apartment rather resembled a prison cell.

I already took mine apart to turn it into a 16x32 building.

The main benefit of S@H is snagging a cool monthly promo with one of the larger D2C sets. Sometimes multiple monthly promos can overlap and you can end up with a bunch of cool shit.
It's also nice being able to buy D2C in store generally because stuff is more often in stock compared to online and I hate dealing with shipping.
Got pic related and a creator train polybag included as GWP when I bought Pirates of Barracuda Bay last December.

This month is hot garbage because it is only star wars promos, and not very good ones either. It also doesn't help that May 4 promo runs during a dead period between after most people consoomed the January wave and are holding out for the August/September wave.

Been working on a Samurai castle for a month. Bought 18 or so of those big stone panels a couple years ago for a decent price on bricklink in anticipation of this project. Now it is time to use them. Most walls above the ground level are a mockup while I try to figure out how to make all the roof section.

They are nice too, I might use them on the roof edges. That castle has such a complex roof pattern, the 1x2 dark gray logs gives me more flexibility. Furthemore, they are available in large quantity on BL and at a reasonable price.

Honestly not sure. Was thinking of them being an investment but there's some that I definitely wont be able to let go of. At the moment I'm just addicted to acquiring Technic sets, so they're just sitting there all nice to look at. I don't care much for the Star Wars theme so they'll probably go depending on price. Yeah I'm still going to buy it. The complaints are usually the same as that guy but I just don't see it. The colors are fine, and it seems to be as detailed (which isnt much to begin with) as the book shop which was my first.

Finally watched whole new Ninjago Season 15

This season so far is one of the worst seasons in terms of writing, and its a shame.
Nya being mad at her mother for no reason, Writers not hadling Nya/Jay relationship AT ALL, that lame Switcheroo, Nya suddenly having water walking powers... Just EHH
And once again Ninja powers were UNDERUSED!

Shame because Kalmar was a really fun and amazingly animated villain. Inm overall this whole season had some amazing scenes.

In terms of sets - its interesting many details were wrong in sets.
Nya Dragon looks nothing like set, same with Gojira for example

That's my point, neither are very detailed so I don't see why corner garage seems to get more shit when it's basically the same price. I don't really care too much because the inside I'm basically going to only see when I build them, they're just display pieces so the outside is more important to me.

based. The movie was alright but I wish they maintained the purely brickbuilt scenery like the other two movies did. By not doing so it feels out of place, although they never imply that this one has a shared universe with the others.

The real major mistake was being released too early, inducing lego movie fatigue in the process.

Not him, but my guess is that he's forced the axe through the scabbard belt as it's a soft plastic and will hold the axe at the cost of being an illegal technique and stressing the soft plastic piece. As for the shield, there's a slot in it that allows swords to go through so he's attached the shield to the sword in that way before putting the sword in the scabbard piece.

The Book Shop was my first too and although the shop itself could use more books, thats the only thing I have bad to say about it. I have acquired and built all the modulars except the first four and the Town Hall and they all have been great and the Book Shop will always feel special because it was the first. The Grand Emporium and the Palace Cinema were the two low ones for me, but they are still great.

Ah yes the chad shogun, i have a small set of him still sealed. About the ice samurai, they are not my cup of tea, as im not much into fantasy. But i can appreciate that the armor prints make sense with historical armor, is the ice part what i dislike. The kabuto and armor pieces are meh. Lot of ninjago designs have a lot of influence from occident and chinese armor and stuff. The 1998 samurais are still king on lego samurai figures. Good prints, Colors, accurate armor. The cmf is nice too but monochrome sadly, samurai had more color variety between armor pieces and clothing

Thanks all. I was just curious about it. I had tried googling aviator or pilot minifigs but didn't get the results I wanted. I saw the original legs were just solid dark blue but I'm glad i got the ones i did. They really compliment the colors of the suit.

The biggest problem with the castle's design is the one they refuse to fix - the lack of a raised baseplate. A castle can't look like a castle being on ground level with other buildings it needs to be raised up and fortified.
