Pretty sure the toy designers never cared about how it was supposed to make sense, it was just a toy with a cool mechanical feature. TMNT and He-man both had that issue where a toy with a cool play feature was added to the show for marketability and it ended up looking like the most impractical thing in the world.

I think the glider was never intended to fly on its own plus it's attached to a blimp. If the foot pop a hole on the blimp they needed to land safely

there is a weird logic to this, people who had the old blimp probably still have the glider but the old balloon part leaked or tore.

I know my balloon part has a leak and won't stay inflated, at best, so I'm kinda tempted to get this one just for that, but truth be told, I have nowhere to set it up anyway. Hell, the Party Wagon I bought two weeks ago is still just sitting unopened on my coffee table. I really just wanted to grab the four turtles to hang on my wall in package, but ended up with two Donnies so he's open and fully displayed. I haven't been able o pull the trigger on doing the same and grabbing seconds of the other three.

yeah I need more space too.
Ideally some kinda shelves where the ones on the bottom are like a foot high or more, but the higher it goes up the narrower the gap, so I can fit more small figures at the accessible levels without wasting lots of vertical space. I know people use risers and stuff but that's less efficient.
also the shelf depth should probably decrease as you go up. What do you guys use, /toy/? I've always just had the cheap plastic plug-together tube shelves.

Supposedly this new batch all have the new hips. At least the turtles, but in theory, so should Shredder, Slash, and the Foot. Since those figures all got updated hips recently too. Also the ankle rockers.

Minor improvements, and probably ones most people wouldn't want to buy the figures over again for. But I did.

That's my weekend shit now. I get really fucking high and watch old dubbed anime in the worst quality I can find. It's a real experience. I wanna get a nice CRT to get the full buzzing experience.

On a side note, I think this too will eventually become a point of nostalgia for many, but it will be hard to reproduce. Those low-quality, low-res files from the early days of filesharing, IRC, Usenet, Bearshare, Limewire, Kazaa, etc. are mostly lost to time now and hard to track down. Every so often I wanna watch a 240p VHS rip of Rurouni Kenshin in ASF format just for the mood, but finding it is a real chore.

that's just it, against orange it looks like forest green, but against purple it starts looking turquoise. I think that's actually a bad choice
the colors we got are just about perfect. with raph and leo being lighter than don and mike, the two sets of 'kind of similar bandanna colors' are more easily discerned.
though as we can all recall back then, 80s and 90s printing quality being what it was, there was never any guarantee. sometimes don was straight up pink, sometimes dark blue to leo's sky blue.. mikey could be anywhere from yellow to red, and raph could be red or pink.. it was a crapshoot. and of course most merch didn't use different skin colors

Eastman got rich before he got around to really learning how to draw. His style is actually pretty cool and gritty, but his technical skills are clearly lacking.

Funny that if you look at them, Kevin looks like the artist and Peter looks like the writer, but Peter is better at both. I think that's kind of a sore point for Peter who said something like "Is it true that Peter writes and Kevin draws?" as a question he got tired of getting at conventions in the first issue of volume 4.

I'm a little bothered by the shell being outside the jacket, but I guess I can chalk it up to him being a re-animated corpse or something (I do dig part of said shell being "patched up" with part of a manhole cover). Cobra Kai's whole thing would be a cool angle to explore in a future TMNT series. Its a shame the 90's movie was the only time the Foot clan were largely recruiting teenagers. The idea that both Splinter and Shredder use teenage ninjas is something that would make an interesting angle. The Foot Clan in the movie were wayward kids who just wanted to fit in somewhere. It makes more sense for the turtles to be nonlethal when their enemies are kids.

Here’s a teaser for my full collection of turtles stuff, as promised to another anon another thread ago and to prove that, yes, I do actually buy toys. Although I’m still trying to figure out a way to include the Super7 line because I ran out of room. Currently I don’t have my stuff on display but the idea is to give the basement a remodel to be my man cave as my wife deemed tmnt toys unsightly for the den. First image are the alt heads from the accessories pack on bootleg movie turtle bodies. I have legitimate ones in two packs in the full image by the pinball machine. Shredder is lurking up above off camera, Danny and ultimate Casey Jones are still in box and I haven’t received April O’Neil yet because I also bought a signature edition.

This is my Stern pinball corner with the Mondo 1/6 scale turtles and mousers, SH Figuarts, Revoltech, and NECA loose figures from the previous two pictures. The framed prints behind everything are from a viewing of the first turtles film in Austin from back in 2009. Mikey and Raph's frames are in a separate area.

He’s on order from BBTS and last I checked he’s coming in January or so. My loose Mirage NECA figures are visible up top and the Foot four pack in box as well as the Lootcrate Shredder. My Mirage turtles are bootlegs with the multicolored masks, though I’m hoping for either a rerelease of the legitimate ones some day. The rest of these are the movie figures, both from the first movie and Secret of the Ooze. Spirit of Splinter is my favorite of the bunch there, even over Tokka and Rahzar, because that campfire scene was so memorable. To round this image out, I also have the 1/6 scale Out of the Shadows Bebop & Rocksteady by threezero. They are awesome and pair well with the DreamEX figures.

Every time a company fucks up their attempt at a definitive April, somehow another one shows up ready to take another shot. I mean, just recently, after Neca's head mis-scale, Super7's waxy skin, the power rangers wasp-esque head (and morphed body)... I think it’s not so much the turtles but the sheer volume of it all that she took exception to. I have framed mondo posters for Blade Runner and Vertigo that will be joining this stuff shortly, so it’s not just them. I mean, we’re slumming it in an unfinished basement but the turtles are used to a sewer, I guess.

Incorrect. Their dispute period is 180 days after payment regardless of whether you have received the item or not. Their system automatically closes the ticket, and their live agent confirmed the same thing. After that period, the only thing you can do is contact the seller directly (Which I've done 5 times now) or chargeback through your credit card. The ol' Randy Handy is a rougher ride than most.

I’ve preordered that one from entertainment earth, slated for an early 2022 release. It’s a nice compromise to have the green glow for the ooze inside the tank since the s7 version couldn’t hold any liquids at least. Not that anon but my personal guess is Muckman. They wouldn't make it a main turtle, they wouldn't make gitd rocksteady and not a gitd bebop counterpart, and I can't see april or metalhead being their pick either. So best guess they skip wave 3 and hit the next non-human non-turtle weirdo, which is wave 4 muckman.

It might also be mondo gecko, but I'm betting on Muckman because he'd make a great glow in the dark companion piece to the gitd toxic crusader.
