As much as I'd like to see full classic wave of sets on Pirates/Space/Castle, I still see ninjago doing original things, like Game World, pseudo Islanders, Dungeons and Dragons, and Aquazone type of sets, that likely simply would not have existed as main themes or single waves.

It's easier for LEGO to keep those niche type of scenarios under the Ninjago theme, as we've seen recent themes that aren't succesful disappear quickly, recent examples being the last waves of LEGO Movie 2, Hidden Side, Vidiyo etc.
In a time where movies/series/video games constantly get Remake/Remaster instead of getting new concepts I still think Ninjago gives its unique take on the recent subthemes, I know Legacy basicly was all about remakes of old sets but that's changing for 2022.
A team of the same minifig characters might get repetitive but it's clearly some formula that works most of the time, see Chima, Nexo, Friends, and now Monkie Kid as the new team-based theme, not to mention how many Harry and Luke figures are made for HP and SW.
Also just because we see ninjago for 10 years, that also means 10 years of new kids getting to age 4-6 getting their first ninjago LEGO sets.

I think Ninjago still does a great job on the sets that aren't vehicles, in fact somewhat better then Nexo Knights in many seasons, Nexo had 2 great castle sets (+ a mobile castle) but even more focus on vehicles compared to Ninjago.

I don't even watch the show/movie, I base this purely on the LEGO products.
Even if Ninjago would end, I don't think LEGO would return to it's old ways.

All said, 2022 still looks like an interesting year of LEGO Space with multiple themes going for it.

I got the hydro mech, it's dine. Still not sure if I should get both Nya dragon and big serpent temple since Nya dragon includes pretty much the same minifigs.

Just wanted something spooky, and that's what I got. I enjoyed building the sets and I still like them, but there's a huge amount of missed potential since they gutted the absolute shit out of the sets for app functionality.

Ok, so I think we should focus on the main set we got today, I dont want to judge the blurry pics yet but they look alright. This wave is..... interesting. I dont know about it. Snakes again, these are confirmed snakes as the names are listed are "boa destructor" and "boa mechanic". The Jay and Nya figs, although very simplistic, look alright. I just which they had a bit more detail. The snakes helicopter looks fine, lego is clearly taking advantage of teal now, its everywhere! Not really a fan of the colour schemes but I think I will come round to it. The car looks alright, its definitely over clustered with all the gold bits, but it shouldn't be too much of a pain to remove them. I think the stud shooters can actually move down into the car body which would be nice. A cool speed champions counterpart!

Overall I think this set sparks something we all have been saying we need. Classic ninjago. This is a car, fighting a snake helicopter. Tell me that in 2012 and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Its classic Ninjago, but updated. I cant wait to see the temple set, and it looks like the other sets are being revealed at 2pm London time today!

Man, I'm seeing a lot of neat little pieces. The Axolotl faces are easy little robots faces, teal 1x2 w/ bar, orange clip-to-bar hole, and all that sand green.

I don't see a single new mold for minifigure parts - that's a first time! We've ALWAYS gotten several new molds for some objects and armor.

It realls looks like they try to put less ressources in Ninjago. There are 4 sets within the junior range...

That being said: even the "<insert that tiresome argument>" sets look mostly great. Sets are as always amazing.

...but my purse is happy there's nothing other than the gun metal grey shoulder recolour and the Pixal head + hair for me. All the outfits - except for Nyas - look weird to me. I like that they try a new style but without dual molding legs look always weird.

Lego could've made the the new piece into 2 separate ones with a ratchet joint rather than a solid single piece. Granted it would've been thicker but what a missed opportunity.

It really depends what you're doing. If you're studying maths or engineering or medicine something, then it can serve you very well. Try and find a scholarship from an employer or something so you don't get raped (I notice you said 'college' not 'university'). On the other hand if you're doing Communications or something of the like, then you're going into debt and wasting a few years for a piece of paper.

Only if you go into engineering or real sciences.
They will absolutely waste your first year on a bunch of pointless shit too. There is also a clear divergence between what you learn in college and what jobs will expect you to do. Most of the time they will have to train you anyway but management/HR decided that costs too much when they can just hire someone that is supposed to know their internal systems already.
But at least your fellow freshmen will love your age.

Generally, you are better off entering a trade or similar.
