Nope. The only villains in the Imaginext line were Putties, Z-Putties, Rita - brown & purple versions, Finster, Goldar - minifig and giant fig, Zedd, Squatt, Baboo, Scorpina, King Sphinx and Pirantishead. Terrortoad also but that was a previous Imaginext toy that they repainted.
Cyclopsis & Serpentera were planned but weren't released, I believe.

Quite a variety, but sadly no Rito.

I wouldn't even count the Z Putty since it was such a non-effort. Just painted a cheap vest on the Rita Putty, no kneepads, still had a belt. It was also only offered with that "Terror Toad" which was just old Imaginext shit repackaged/repainted. It wasn't a legitimate effort like their other figures.

The Retro Zords seem to be getting a lot of ire from people, but I just got the set and I love them. Yes they're lacking in paint and articulation, but the show accurate sculpts are what really win me over, and the scale is perfect for non-oversized LC villains. If one were to paint the missing details these would really look amazing. I'm not so bothered by the minimalistic articulation seeing as the suits in the show weren't terribly mobile themselves. I hope they sell well enough to get additional waves.

I'd say the Galaxy Megazord is the best of the bunch, he looks the most complete in terms of paint, and even his weapon is painted unlike the others. He has the most range of motion in his hips as well.

Most people seemed pretty unimpressed with them at first, but a lot seem to like them now after fans started getting them.
I like them too because they look quite similar to the suits. I'll probably pick them up but wait until they're a little cheaper.

Each of the three Megazords have a nitpick to me. The Dino Megazord doesn't come with his shield. Each of the others technically have two accessories (Thunder and Ninjakon have swords and sheaths, Galaxy has sword and Condor) so I would think a Mastodon shield could have been included for the price.

Thunder Megazord has almost no outward arm movement, which I get is due to his shoulders, but I still feel like they could have placed the joints in a way that allowed for more range.

The Galaxy Megazord has an unfortunate oversight in the way the Condor attaches to it's back. Had the peg been on the Condor and the hole on the back of the figure, the figure would have been able to hold the Condor as a weapon. As is it won't be able to hold the Condor unless you plug something else into the hole which will fit in his hand.

I would love if Hasbro ditched the oversized, overpriced, poorly sculpted LC monsters and instead did a cheap monster line in the vain of these Megazords which focuses primarily on being an accurate representation of the suits used in the show. Basic articulation would be perfectly fine for monsters of the day as long as they were properly scaled to the LC Rangers and had sculpts as good as these Megazords. I still love the 8 inch 5POA vinyl monsters Bandai did back in the 90s because the sculpts were so great. I never found myself needing more articulation than that as I was kicking the shit out of them with my Rangers.

Except they're branching into less articulated territory with these Megazords. Megazords and Monsters share the same issue in regards to figure production, they're generally brand new sculpts which can't be reused. If reduced articulation allows them to get out a variety of Megazords across different seasons for a reasonable price, then why not monsters? It just seems like a no brainer to me. Monsters of the day don't work as fully articulated, full priced figures, let alone as more expensive deluxe figures. Make them cheaper more basic figures and they will sell.

Kinda nuts that it’s the only line to have that entire cast in the same scale, no? I guess no Rito and Vile means it’s incomplete. Hopefully we get everything from Hasbro someday, because it seems like Rito, Baboo, and Squatt all stand a chance, after Scorpina and Finster. And hopefully we’ll see a Rita rerelease at some point.

When they were revealed the general consensus was negative with many people not understanding who the market was. I haven't seen much feedback since their release, but what I have seen has echoed that sentiment for the most part. I think they're great so I hope enough people like them for the line to continue. I need a Dragonzord to go with the Megazord and Tigerzord to go with the Thunder Megazord at the very least.

Riley Griffin, the Dino Charge team Green Ranger. His dinosaur zord is a Velociraptor.

His personality is that he's the youngest Ranger on his team (17, later turns 18 during the show's run). He grew up on a ranch with a much cooler (but super nice) older brother. While his brother was a natural rancher/cowboy, Riley was a prissy (hates getting dirty) fencing nerd who used to practice with his foil blade when he wasn't doing ranch chores with dreams of becoming an Olympian.

He finds the green gemstone that turns him into Green Ranger and joins the rest of the team, who operate out of a dinosaur museum/tourist trap.

Of also note; though the character doesn't have any romantic plotlines, the actor who played Griffin has stated that he played the character as if he was a closeted gay man who was madly in love with the (white) Black Ranger on his team.

Zedd, Rita, Goldar, Scorpina, Finster, Pumpkin Rapper, Putty, Z-Putty, Tenga, Cog, and Ecliptor are worth getting. The upcoming Eye Guy and Pirantis Head are fairly meh, but not awful, so if you like them, get them. The King Sphinx is terrible so wait until the Super7 figure comes out.

Some of the figures are very good and others are very bad. Look up pictures online and check out stores if you're curious. If you go to buy one at the store definitely give it a visual scan to check for defects on the front.

I think Eye Guy is worse than Sphinx. He's just as oversized, but he's missing much more paint. Only a fraction of his eyes are actually painted compared to Sphinx who's only really missing paint on his nose and mouth.

Personally I feel like King Sphinx is the worst offender. Yeah, Eye Guy's missing paint and he's not as accurate as he could be, but the sculpt of King Sphinx's face is outright *wrong* to the point it's actually distracting, aside from the missing paint. They changed what was very clearly "cat" to something closer to "vampire/demonic humanoid" which just kinda ruins the entire design. I've ordered every Lightning Collection monster thus far except for King Sphinx. I have no intention of ever getting him.

I can't get excited for Lego Power Rangers just yet. Nothing PR related has come from Hasbro's partnership with Epic Games and the Nerf Power Rangers blasters we've gotten have been the absolute bare minimum (which, to be fair, is how Hasbro has handled the majority of the Nerf line in recent years).
It's a shame we never got PR figures in Mega Bloks' current, high articulation style.

Hasbro doesn't seem to like Nerf melee toys in general anymore. All the ones they have made in recent years didn't even come to the UK, outside of a dart-firing Thor's hammer. I'd love to see some little collectible PR blasters in the Micro Shots line. The first wave could have a Blade Blaster, a Mosa Morpher and then a random pick like a Nitro Blaster.

So the Lightning Collection has already made the "big four" of MMPR's monsters - Pudgy Pig, King Sphinx, Eye Guy, and Pumpkin Rapper - and Pirantis Head, a fairly iconic monster, especially since he's not from the first season. Who do you think might be next? More Zyu/Zyu2 monsters? Will they start trying out Dai or Kaku monsters? Lipsyncher and Silver Horns are fairly popular thanks to the old Fighting Edition game, they might have a decent shot.

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but Haabro is sending out replacement helmets for A-Squad Pink. One would think having to do it the first time with Trent would be seen as a costly fuckup they'd be sure to not repeat, but here we are.

Also the Blue Galaxy Glider has shown up in the wild and they didn't fix the incorrect symbol as they said they would. People are getting mighty fed up with the morons running this line. How difficult is it to hire an actual PR fan to oversee this shit? We're in year 4 now and nearly every release continues to have a problem.

Anyone else finding it hard to part with the Legacy collection? I thought I'd be happy with the Lightning replacements well enough to ditch them even if they aren't perfect, but man something about them that feels more disappointing than Bandai's attempt. YEs, Bandai's are roided out, but at least they check the marks they have to mostly (matching costumes, painted weapons when they have it, decently accurate helmets)

Finished my Zeo set and there's just too many odd things with them.
Its worse with In Space where the suits don't even match. They don't entirely feel like upgrades.

Well maybe they should? Like why wouldn't you want to have at least one autistic superfan working on something who could flag all these problems in the design phase? We're not talking about a few isolated incidents, there's a systemic problem with this line and the root cause is nobody working on it gives the slightest shit about Power Rangers. Hell Hasbro had a genuine Power Ranger fan on the payroll in Jason Bischoff, whom they inherited from Saban, but they fired him for no good reason.

Like, I *really* wanted Phantom Ranger, but then they stuck a hole in his ruby for a completely unnecessary blast effect, and thus, no longer give a shit about him. The set inconsistencies you mentioned made me not care about getting others beyond red rangers (and even then, only a few). The fact that we're years in and still have no Wild Force, Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm, Turbo, Mystic Force, etc, nevermind that we are only JUST NOW getting Megazords at figure size and they're all entirely out of proportion with everything (especially monsters) *and* have ridiculously inaccurate paintjobs...it's just been disheartening.

Every Lightning Collection figure I've gotten in the last two years has been stuff I found in secondhand lots on the super-fuckin-cheap, even "chase" or "rare" figures like the Tenga and Evo 3 Lord Drakkon. I'm waiting on Cogs to show up in those secondhand lots now, probably won't take long - finding two Tengas for around $30 took way fewer months to hit the pipeline than I expected it to, and I flipped the spare.

Last time I was happy with PR figures was RPM. They were a bit smaller than Jungle Fury but still stacked with accessories including combining weapons. Line even had 3 exclusive rangers. Samurai was shit and out of scale with everything as was Mega, Super Mega, Charge and Steel. Beast has a nice basic line but still a step back.

depends on the figure. For something like Power Rangers where their hands are pretty much all interchangable, at least between members of the same team, then I just throw them all into the same compartment in one of my tackle boxes. If it's something more unique, but a western figure, I tend to mix it in with various other figures. LIke i have several different Spider-Man hands together, but they're all from different costumes and are unique from one another so I throw them all together too. Now for something like imports, I keep every figure's set of accessories separated from other figures. Each figure gets it's own dedicated compartment in the tackle box. I usually do this because import figures come with more stuff so it's easier to keep track of what is what.

A tiny bit of superglue on the corner of a notecard or something similar could easily be slipped into the crack to dab the glue onto the tear and then you just need to hold the belt in place until it dries. I do it with small cracks and the like.

I really liked the sort of bishonen monster look of this era. The anime aesthetics really ramped up around this era and as a young weeb I loved it.

Goldar was played by 3 different guys.
Battle-scene Goldar was played by Kazutoshi Yokoyama, who is 6 feet tall. He should be equal to Baboo, who was played by a 6'1 guy. He should be equal heights with the LC monsters.

Goldar in the Bandora Palace scenes was played by Takashi Sakamoto, and Zyu2 Goldar was played by Danny Wayne Stallcup. They were roughly in scale with the human actors, like the ones playing Rita and Scorpina.

So if you want to get super technical, the Goldar we got is in scale with the human villains. But as a monster fighting the Power Rangers? He should be a head taller.

As I understand it, they left off the red deco for the sword, which can be fixed. Otherwise, I don't see any issues myself.

Glad I bought an extra sword for DC Pink from the BST a while back. It's so weird they threw in her special weapon when she's only meant to have it with the armor over the right arm. While a neat inclusion, it is inaccurate. She should've just had the sword like all the others, unless they plan to release Armed On variants down the line.

At the moment, Kiramager. ToQger and Kyuranger were already confirmed to be skipped (although Kyuranger might be back on the table, depending on what the details of the Netflix deal are). Zyuohger has decent helmets but every other design in that season is absolute garbage. PR is already underperforming in sales so I doubt Hasbro would touch that one.

To be fair, once fixed up into proper suits, the Purple and Orange Rangers are decent designs and look like they actually fit the MMPR aesthetic, as opposed to the Omegas, Solar, etc. That having been said though, I would kill for an Incredible Bulkster and Super Skull two pack, yes.

It's weird because Zeo got a respectable amount of villain toys, but 7 of them were monsters of the day, and 2 of them were just re-released MMPR figures. I could understand Bandai not thinking Machina and Sprocket were viable characters in their boys action adventure line, or even Klank who was a non-combatant character, but not making Mondo outside of a 1" micro figure was nuts. Gasket and Louie Kaboom should have also been no brainers. Archerina I'd sadly expect to have been omitted for being female.

I think the second wave had low distribution and not many people even had a chance to buy them. I personally never saw them at any of the big chains. I only managed to stumble upon them by accident at a local five and dime. Ecstatically picked up two of the four new figures, but spent the rest of the day regretting not getting the whole set. Managed to convince my mom to go back the next day for the remaining two. Never saw any of them again after that.

Haha yeah. The fall wave toys had been out for a while at that point without any trace of the wave villains, so I guess after thinking about it I panicked and realized it might be my only chance to get them, which I was right. They were a bit more expensive at a store like that, maybe $8 or $9 a figure compared to $6 at Toys R Us, so that may also explain my hesitancy to buy the full set at once. Almost $40 was a big purchase for a kid back then.

Everything that has been announced up to this point has been released already. TJ's Galaxy Glider is the only item still stuck in Singapore.

Zhane however is in a weird spot. Apparently production of him is finished and Hasbro already physically shipped him out to Walgreens distribution. While we wait to see what Hasbro has in store for the second wave of Retro Zords (assuming there is one) here's everything I have from Bandai America which scales well with them.

In Space are micro playsets, Wild Force through Dino Thunder came from adventure sets, the Supertrain is from the intermediate Zord assortment. He should probably be bigger in relation to the Megazords, but his size varied in the show from huge to barely taller than the standard Megazord, so I think this works as a good middle ground.

Things I tried which didn't work. Turbo Megazord micro playset, looks fine compared to Lightning Collection villains, but too big next to the Retro Zords. Lightspeed Solarzord micro playset, too small, more in line with Bandai's standard 5" action Zords. Hurricane Megazord adventure set, too small, it's technically the same size as the others, but because it's a 3 Megazord combo it's better scaled with the 5" action Zords. RPM adventure set Megazords, too small, sometime after Dino Thunder Bandai downsized the Megazord figures in the adventure sets to 5".

I doubt many people still have this old stuff (if they ever did), but figured I'd put it out there for anyone who may find this info useful.

watching a review of the Kat pack, it dawned on me that it took nearly 3 years to complete, $140 to acquire, they don't match, and they don't have all their weapons, that just sounds like a crappy Kickstarter project in retrospect, like if the figures are going to cost nearly $30 soon, stop with the antagonistic rapid rereleases, like Pudgy Pig is a $60 con exclusive, but also a regular $30 figure? were we supposed to be "tricked" into buying the con exclusive first, but the cure arrived before the poison?

I was in a store the other day and saw that a Tenga was being released which made me wonder when movie figures were going to get made. I would start collecting them if that ever happened but I realize this calls for a special type of mold.

an MMPR black release is coming up, some people think it's going to be the overdrive version, but it could very well be the movie version, because the Tenga are getting rereleased in a 2 pack soon, plus the ninjetti team is almost complete, so it would make sense for more to be in the chamber, I'm sure we'll find out in an info dump soon

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was just MMPR Black with an Adam head. Maybe they’d go the extra mile with the overdrive vest. But we did just get Kat and Aisha MMPR figures with the new helmet sculpts, in non-metallic colors. I’m sure they intend to redo Black, Blue, and Red, and they need the better helmets from the metallic figures the most.

Blaze is also awesome. I like evil rangers a lot so I’ve considered keeping just him and selling the rest of the Beast Morphers. Maybe if they come out with yellow like the leak said, I’ll change my mind, but I’d really want Silver too.

She’s part of the leak too. The next wave is allegedly her, Galaxy Green, Wild Force Blue, and MMPR Black.
After that it’s Beast Morphers Yellow, Dino Fury Green, Dino Charge Blue, and a villain from Wild Force.
Normally I wouldn’t give a leak too much credit but it got the last wave completely correct.

Like, out of suit with a broken morpher accessory or something? Adam is one of my favourite Zeo figures. I really dig his look. Shame about the axe handles stretching out the hands, heating them back into shape every time he goes back in the box is a bit irksome.
