Bloody hell, I was in Target today and they had the Dr Strange wave on shelf and cheaper than current Amazon prices, I take some to the check out, they won't scan through, guy comes over checks them on his scanner, embargoed until April. First new thing I've seen in person in weeks and it's off limits. Well now I know not to bother to look for anything new in store for all of next month I guess

Target and WM so desperate to keep shelves stocked, they've opted to not clear out the Eternals like they always do for LEgends this time of year. I mean the retro SPman stuff sells out quick when I see the lone Shocker on peg and he's gone the next day. Even a case of Dr Strange is gone after a day. I'm thinking the stores ordered so many Eternal Figures since there was nothing on shelves but the movie sucked and no one bought up the figures. It left barely any room for NWH figure waves. This is true. Literally every Venom has something wrong with it. Monster is too big, Hyperion one is on Hyperion body, TAS is on that shit Omega Red buck too, Mafex is a manlet, Jap ones are all monster designs. WOULD IT KILL THEM TO HAVE THE MOST POPULAR VENOM IN PICREL AS A DECENT TOY? The movie Venom would be great, just change the feet, make the legs a bit shorter and give some head options (McFarlene, Bagley, Larson).

I’ve seen people paint the comic logo on it, and I’m not interested in that. Give me a new mold or stick with the Omega Red one, it looked fine for TAS Venom, they just needed to fill in the shoulder holes.

There’s a couple SDCC figures that could really use a rerelease. Stuff like Moonstone and Ghost, I hope they redo. Moonstone would be neat as Meteorite with the other thunderbolts. And I’d prefer a classic Ghost. But others, like Hela, and Purple Man, could really use single releases.

Oh yeah, for sure. Ghost, Blastaar, there’s a few others but they still have those awful Y joint hips. Purple Man is a bit more recent so I think he’s okay. And Hela, Gamora, and Moonstone are both on the Moonstone mold, which I’m admittedly very tired of and I wish they’d make a new jacked female body, but it’s not the worst mold, and they could be straight rereleases if they had to be.

Just straight brushing mod Podge on these isn’t going to give it any texture. I’ve done a good number of customs at this point but I can’t think of anything that would give it that texture. You could press clay against the textured skin, and then wait for it to dry before using it as a “mold” for more clay that you could put on the legs, but that’s the best I can come up with. I’d honestly suggest just removing the toes or something on the other feet lol

He started posting in the Dragon Ball and Jojo threads. The Cube part of his name refers to the old acrylic cubes he used to display his DBZ and Jojo stuff in. He was fine for a while, nothing to take a second look at, he would often post new figures when they came in and everyone was fine. Until he started blogging about remodeling his daughters room and moving her into the attic. We all thought it was funny and gave him shit but I think the straw that broke the camel's back, at least in the DBZ threads, was how he would constantly talk about his cabinets, and not even when he had them, in the lead up to the purchase, the purchase, the shipping, the delivery, everything. That's when I got sick of him. When the rest of the thread quickly also got sick of his blogging, he cooled down a bit. But then he decided to get into Marvel Legends for whatever reason and moved to blogging here instead. He's admitted in the DBZ thread he only casually has watched the show, despite investing seemingly thousands of dollars into multiple copies of figures, and has done the same here in the Marvel thread.

I dunno, but it just kind of rubs me the wrong way to know someone is willing to spend thousands of dollars on something they only casually enjoy. I mean, I have MLs but I also have read hundreds, if not thousands of comics and other Marvel related media. I have a ton of SHF DBZ figures because DBZ is my favorite anime of all time, I've watched it start to finish numerous times over my life, read the manga, played the vidya, and so on. It just comes off as really fake and show-offy. Especially when he pretends he can't pose for shit because he knows it gets him (You)s. It's annoying and he's clearly an attention seeker not satisfied with some aspect of his life, so he comes on here to try and make himself feel better or something.

Finally found the Marvel Select Immortal Hulk for retail. I like him a lot but he is a little to big. My Main heroes shelf is getting a little full, but I purposefully used this type of display to keep me from having a cluster fuck. And yeah I know Thor and Giant man are MCU, but these are the best looking versions of them for now.

I certainly will be buying less. I managed to snag a few figs from the newest waves ona slight sale on Amazon so they came out to $22 each. I'm still ok with that. $25 is too much though. At least for regular releases. We'll see if Amazon actually delivers though. We all know how unreliable they are.

I think we’re already seeing it. People are just getting more selective. I would’ve snagged US Agent and Madame Hydra on preorder but I know they’ll hit clearance. They’ll see a dip in sales, or at least preorders. Then things will go “on sale” for $20 sooner and more often.
I’m relatively convinced Pulse is going to take a decent hit too. Between the $50 membership, no free shipping without one, and being the last to fulfill preorders, I think their warehouse is going to take a hit.

Ooh I forgot about this. I am sadly old enough to vaguely remember this look for her too. If I recall for me at least it was early 90's she rocked this for a bit. That's how they getcha. I was super happy with her, but was also gifted the Retro one so I took her head and effects and put it on the black one. Might buy another to use in my Marvel Knights display though.

I've been looking for a set of arms and a body I can use to just swap everything out. If OML Hawkeye didn't have the bandages I've use his. Unless those bandages are just paint? Then I'd just need pinless legs and I'd be finished doing their job for them.

It depends, sometimes the dropdowns result in some unsightly cheeks. I generally prefer SHF's thong system, cause that keeps the legs in a more natural position relative to the torso instead of shifting them down and elongating the torso

It's a shin guard and the joint coincides with one of its straps. It's not a stretch to reason that some pieces of your clothing may protrude more than others and break their silhouette when you adopt certain poses irl. Well worth the ability to make a full crouch.

Your legs made out of thick solid plastic? No, human legs can bend as far because our soft tissue compresses. Since action figures made out of PVC can't do that they have workarounds. This looks better than double knee joints that looks like someone broke your leg in two places.
