Line was X-Sports by a brand called XToys, released in 2000. They produced a couple of pro skateboarders and snowboarders, and these figures were amazing for their time.

That reminds me of a line back in the 90s that had vehicles you could actually weld plastic accessories onto (front grills, bulldozer fronts, machine guns, etc) using a mini spark welding device. The accessories would snap off when you crashed the cars into each other (which was the point). Anyone remember what that was called?

If you still have old comic book stores, you might get lucky. Here in Lincoln, NE we have not one, but 3 store locations of a business called ‘Toys from the Past’. The places have new stuff (Neca, ML, SW BS, McFarlane DC, etc) to old stuff as far back as old Kenner SW and with lots of things in between. They even have the two Psychlo figures from Battlefield Earth in the packages still. I love going to these places every few weeks and finding some fun gems.

I binged that series last summer for the first time in almost 20 years and damn does it hold it fine. For anyone who hasn't seen it, please check it out. It feels a lot like baby's first Dune but for a Saturday morning series that was sandwiched between garbage like Pokemon and Monster Rancher, it's surprisingly mature and well written.

I loved The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest when I was a kid and I had a shit load of the toys including the Quest World ones. TBQH this toy line would be amazing with a modern remake using something like those walmart retro GI Joe bucks.

There was another line they did with the exact same molds but different paint schemes and figures called Tech Wars, but I don’t know much about it. I don’t think Playmates had anything to do with it, probably some chinaman bought the molds for cheap or something like that.

I guess Barnyard Commandos aren't too obscured since they're getting some new figs soon. Had a few floating around the toybox. Always called them the "War Pigs" since I only had two...and they were pigs.

Used to have this guy, got him at some military christmas party the base was throwing for kids of military parents something in 86 as a little kid. The wings on the giant spider monster were the first to get lost and break, then eventually lost all the weapons and gear, eventually lost the figure in the early 90's. I had that gloved spider monster (no wings) until I was in highschool in the late 90's when I eventually gave it away. I never did get any other figures from that line.

There use to be a line of 3" 5 - 8 poa robots sold in Asian stores in the 90's around NYC. The one I had was black with a cockpit looking head and small folding wings in the back. Anyone know about these? Love to see them again.
