Reminder that toys are more than just toys. For some, they are a quick trip to our childhood and also potential investments. If you're a serious toy collector, taking care of your collectibles should come second nature to you. You need to do more than dust or clean them once in a while to ensure they are in tip-top condition. If you want your memorabilia to have the same quality as when you first bought them.

ITT: We share tips, tricks and other useful advice on how to take care of our beloved collectibles

General tips:

> Keep them Away from Sunlight

Direct sunlight/UV lights can cause the plastic or the paint of your action figures to turn yellow. This is because photodegradation (from exposure to UV rays) and thermal oxidation (from exposure to the air) cause certain plastic mixes particular white PVC to change color over time.

>Dust them Regularly

Set a schedule to dust and clean your action figures. Doing it once a month is a good start. Makeup brushes are great to remove the dust and other impurities. For delicate parts of the action figure, you may use a canned air duster. Also consider investing in a dust proof detolf display cabinet.

>Store Your Figures in a Climate Controlled Environment

Extreme temperatures will damage your toys. These figures, if you intend for them to last decades should be kept at room temperature or between 55-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level in the room should be below 60%. Very hot and humid environments will speed up the degradation of the plastic through thermal oxidation.

Also, if you live a tropical country, consider investing in a home a/c. Dehumidifiers can kill you if you're not used to living in a dry environment.
