Had mostly small sets prior to getting one of these as a kid, was super happy to get so many more pieces to just make stuff. I also used the container to store all my lego stuff in one place.

Has anyone else ever gotten the wrong colored stickers with a set? I had a QC issue with one on that Tumbler set and ordered a replacement sticker sheet, turns out all of them are off color - the ones that came with the set are flat and dull while the ones I received are shiny and reflective

Change the colors of the lines connecting the cities to the map from white to red so that they're more visually distinct. Right now they're very hard to see against the white wall and white landmass of the map. The asymmetry of the shelf placement is making my autism flare up. And just like anything not in a glass cabinet, they're going to be a pain in the ass to keep the dust off. 9/10 concept, 6/10 execution.

Everyone beat me to it, but it definitely is the greatest set in a long time. People who say it isn't are memeing. Keep in mind that it will skyrocket in price though if you just want to not build it. I would guess $400 - $500 in 2 years.

Im not too fond of ships unless they are like cool explorable shipwrecks. I like adventure islands with treasures and stuff. I hate that I missed out on the barracuda, didnt expect it to be on shelves for so little time and there's no way I can justify the current overprices(which I know will get even worse with time)

Asking cus there's a $60 set on Lego.com but it's $48 on Amazon. Wondering if paying the extra $12 is worth the points. US currency.

Like before Nintendo Gold coins were like 100 coins = $100 and then they changed it where 100 coins are now $1.00. tho you can get gold coins from buying digital and physical games and let me tell you I've accumulated enough coins here and there to get free DLC or smaller games.
Also got the 2016 Ghosbusters Ecto1 for "free" after buying the Simpsons big sets.

Yeah, it's $5 worth of points back per $100 you spend. So you would be looking at roughly $52 after tax if you purchased it on Amazon. Assuming you had enough points to redeem a $5 discount you would still be at $58 through Lego.com. So Amazon is the best route.

Honestly I prefer the misprints except for the one that's meant to be the front glass of the thing since it's not shiny, otherwise they make the set pop more. Definitely keeping the original ones on.

You should sell all the sets without figs individually, sell the figs I listed above individually, then just sell the rest of the figs in bulk on ebay. This would probably maximize profits.

Been getting into building a whole bunch of classic space dudes for the past couple years, but I want to build more vehicles and base bits for them to use, anyone have classic space style mocs to post that I might want to make copies of for these dudes?

Pic related, the only ones I’m missing are the black and orange spacemen and I’m looking at ordering some of them here soon, those will be the heavy weapons and pyrotechnics guys.

Nah they're good people at heart. We were on food stamps and shit as a kid. Since I wasn't literally playing with it 24/7 they assumed I got bored with it and returned it right before the 30 days. It kinda sucks that I literally have zero childhood toys but in a positive way it made me appreciate a lot of the little things in life and I have almost no desire for material possessions outside of occasionally legos when they're on sale.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't initially insecure with my lego hobby but I am thoroughly no longer and I definitely don't consider myself a manchild. That set was never released and it features a ton of great parts. Pops up on eBay for like $100+ every now and then. It's one of the few Classic Space sets I don't own.

Man, I need a blue one. I only have 1 of 2 from my childhood Cosmic Fleet Voyager. That's the only set that had blue ones and you only got two in it. They're currently like $8+ on BrickLink. I owned all these sets as a kid and was lucky enough to get mint and complete ones in the past few years before the price of vintage Lego exploded. These sets I paid $150~ for are now all selling for $300+

I was able to rebuild that set from my childhood collection, too, but the only missing piece is the black sword that was exclusive to this set. I still remember the day I lost it when I was playing outside and had two knights clashing on horseback when the black sword the one was holding popped right out of his hand. I spent a long time looking for it but sadly never found it. Even back then I knew how special it was.

Here's another one of my favorites. I'm glad I was able to collect almost every classic castle and space set from the mid 80s to mid 90s because it's nauseating how expensive vintage Lego is now.

can you be more specific about what you don't like about wings? The slim design and color blocking is all intentional.

Missle silos are static unfortunately, getting that many holes at that angle was already a challenge for me but yeah it would be cooler if the ship had some sort of transforming or movable functions.

Is it just me, or is there something off about the way clone trooper helmets look now? They are more movie accurate, but I'm not sure that aesthetic fits super well with Lego. The helmets seem too tall and flat.

Oh man I made so many iterations of these damn things as a kid. I made a purple trimmed one with the green goblin, and I collected different colors of the racing slick tires + different patterns of minifig helmets from the pullback racers line.

I think picrel is what got me started on it, along with the semi truck that could hold 3 of them. Both are so badly yellowed / sun damaged I've basically sequestered them like they were radioactive.

After those sets, I started asking for road baseplates to build a racetrack. They used to be just sitting around to buy for relatively cheap as sort of an expansion pack (my personal favorites being the black and neon green Blacktron 2 landing zone plates)

I had a dream where Lego had a new Space theme with Cow themed aliens
There was a tie in game too from TT which is weird because it wasnt a licensed theme. But the cow aliens' gimmick was that they had these helmets with flashlights that they could use to build things in mid air
Obviously this doesn't work in physical form so they just came with transparent bricks
One of the sets was a farm because of course it was

Anybody with 60322 who collected Nexo Knights, could you put it's windshield piece on the mid-section? LDD doesn't exactly render trans-neon parts correctly. I'd do it, myself, but I don't have any Nexo Knights windshields. Plus, I already canibalized it.

Also, a side note that easybuy fucking sucks, and it scams by going to the biggest stores where they're charging like $0.50 for 1 stud pieces and shit.

Honestly, how the fuck do those places on Bricklink even retain customers? Like just ordering a couple hundred parts is like $300+ on the big stores, even just smaller basic plates and shit.

Didn't realize how good it was just a few years ago when there wasn't such a massive markup on prices on BL and you could get a ton of stuff at a reasonable price.

First I noticed Bricklink recommended me a store where the minifigs had a somewhat higher price but I had no idea they took S&H into consideration so I went with what they recommended me.

Is it common for stores selling for lower prices to have a suspiciously high S&H cost?

I've seen many stores charge a lot more for shipping on smaller orders (like less than $20) and then regular rate (USPS first class like <$6) for orders over a specific amount.

Too bad it's retired and what's left on store shelves is it. Only pirate set that's still in production is the Creator Pirate Ship, which is still a neat set imo.
