Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking with that color scheme. Part of me also feels kinda weird about this set because it feels based around the Sonic & Knuckles final boss given the fact that it's set behind where the characters stand and attacks with its hands. The fact that this doesn't really seem to be the case in the movie makes me wonder if it was originally gonna be the S&K boss as a follow up to the Sonic 2 Death Egg Robot, and if it is I hope I never find out because I'll be pissed that it got repurposed into movie stuff

I got one for my daughter. It's held up pretty well all things considered. She brought it to the sonic movie and it was literally magical. The ending was crazy. Happy we live in a time where Sonic movies are enjoyable.

I loved the Sonic trio + Eggman scenes more than the first movie. I honestly like this depiction of Knuckles a lot more than how he's depicted in most of the 3D games.
But the family/sister-in-law stuff was even more awkward and intrusive than the first movie. So it evens out.
I do want a figure of green Eggman though.

update: found another, higher res pic, and i was right
movie super sonic's eyes are fuckin green on the figure when they're red in the movie. they were probably green in the concept art that the toy was based off (the same concept art that had the purple egg mech, no doubt)

How are the Jakks in comparison to Jazwares? I have Sonic and Knuckles from Jazwares, but thinkin about getting into these since they look a bit mor sturdy. (I got Jazwares Metal Sonic and his arm snapped off the shoulder joint real quick)

Also how do they look among other lines?

The scaling looks kind of off even among themselves like how in >>9718486 The 3 pack Sonic looks too large for the enemies he is packed with and the smaller scale Mighty looks only slightly shorter than the larger scale Sonic.

Which characters do you think Jakks will tackle after the Espio wave in the 4'' line? Obviously the rest of the Chaotix are next, and we'll probably get a Super Silver, but after that they're going to have most of the easy picks already done for them.

I'm thinking of getting the classic sonic characters in 2.5 cause they look like they scale better with the 4' Eggman and Mecha Sonic. Team Chaotix from that line is extremely hard to find even on ebay (at least as i noticed).
Rouge and Omega definitely will suffer over time and will fade into rarity. Especially Rouge.
PS:
That 3-pack is awesome but i have no place for that huge sonic figure so he will remain in the package.
Little sonic figures are the perfect size for other figures from these lines.

3d blast is more interesting to play than 1 and 2 that i'm getting super bored of at this point.
Keep in mind that i'm a 30+lvl boomer who played the fuck out of those games as a kid back in the 90s when they were hyped.
I can't stand them anymore. 3 and Mania are the only 2D games i can enjoy replaying over and over again. And unique ones like 3D blast or (sometimes) Spinball.

1 and 2 enjoyed by zoomers who never played them till passing out or literal headache as kids.

I want the Sonic movies to become bigger and bigger and go on for fifteen years and Paramount makes a SEGA Cinematic Universe and Hasbro gets the license and they make a Marvel Legends style line and make shit like Jason Marsden and NiGHTS and whatever character shows up seven movies in and they have twenty points of articulation and I'm not kidding.

This would unironically be cool as hell, especially if they can keep the right irreverent tone. Sonic is best when it's light and goofy with a Totally Radical 90s Guy attitude for him, that whole period of time where they were trying to make him into a genuine badass was so cringey and terrible.
