My theory is that current yellowing is caused by humidity. Some netflix Soundwaves, Er Megses are still fine while others are slightly yellow or almost orange. I have problem with humidity from my old roof and er Megs, Tigatron and that's all for now.

From my understanding, yes. Some types of that plastic can be painted, but the paint will come off pretty easily.

There's some methods to get the paint to stick, like dyeing or methods that are way too advanced if you're not heavily into the hobby model scene.

So looks like leakers are backtracking on override being an actual hotrod remold, and more likely it just has some shared engineering.
Which honestly makes sense as one of the two modes would have to be SEVERELY compromized to use hotrod's mold.

Looking at hotrod a little more closely, I think I can guess at what they'll do.
Hotrod's shins and feet are completely hidden in car mode, so they can make that look like override pretty easily
And if they retool the arms to look like the original's front fenders (sticking forward in transformation( then it should work out well enough. The car hood for hotrod could be replaced by override's black grill thing, and then override could have a faux-chest.

It's wierd to me, cause override has some interesting transformation and I don't see why you wouldn't want to make a new version of that.
Unless the issue was, they wanted a voyager, and thus far all voyagers in recent years have gotten repaints, remolds, or were born of shared engineering (tigatron)
Hell, they're already taking an L with Jhiaxus

I started buying up shit only after they showed Tarantulas a few weeks back. At that point finding Primal, Dinobot, ER Optimus and even Rattrap near msrp was proving annoying, but bbts had them all so that’s what I went with. So that’s convenient.

You might be lucky and it could be from a batch that doesn't suffer from that problem, the issue is that we have no clue just how bad this situation is for the figure that suffer from the yellowing. A random example I own:

-Spoiler Nemesis
-Cyclonus
-Kingdom Grimlock
-Kingdom Dinobot
-Spoiler pack Megatron

There's reports of all these figures yellowing, but on my copies, the only one's with any yellowing are Cyclonus and Nemesis. Does this mean the others will yellow at a normal rate (as in, in a decade or more)? No clue, we won't know how bad this is until a few more years, because either most will develop it at that point, or the one's who didn't develop it will stand out.

Transformers Generations Titans Return Alpha Trion

This is a strange toy.
Fist of all, this is the first main line toy Alpha Trion ever got, right? And it's a triple changer whose alt modes emulate his two Botcon toys.

So to start we have a horned lion, with all the posability of Lio Convoy.
That is to say, his forelimbs just jut out the bottom of his torso. No shoulders to speak of. Just elbows and wrists.
And the hind legs are just hips.

There are things in the aesthetic I do like. That silver mane is swish.

The robot mode is where all the resources went.
You can tell they went "We want to make a cool purple and red robot that turns into a lion. We'll figure the lion out later."

The ornamented chest and head and lion head shoulders all look super cool. Wish the lion's eyes weren't solid purple too, but what're ya gonna do?
The giant clear orange sword is the cherry on top of the whole thing.
Articulation allows for some good sword poses too.
Shoulders rotate freely and move outward about 60 degrees.
Elbows bend about 120 degrees and the wrists swivel.
The fun part comes from using the transformation joints as butterfly hinges for forward and backward movement.

Below the belt things are much less exciting. Hips move forward and back and outward like you'd think.
Crotch flap doesn't move itself out of the way enough.
Knees bend alright and the feet can move but not in the useful articulation kind of way.
Crazy that the legs are the part of this mold that got reused when they're so boring.

Lion's like, ok. Should be brave but he's not really posable enough for it to be much fun.
Do you have an issue with the robot horns not wanting to stay completely in? It still pops up at least partway (so it's just the purple sticking out I think), the physics has it somehow pushed in for lion mode, but it'll just push back out if you transform him.

The Prime guys are BLATANTLY Pre-molds.

Also, The Galaxy figs were probably easier to design, on account of being designed as toys first and then they more or less used the toy CAD files in the show, so there's no huge engineering or toy accuracy problems to overcome, unlike the Prime figures which were very clearly designed for the show first, and then square-peg-round-hole-ed down into toys the same way the movie figures were

Transformers Universe Aveo Swerve

Is there anyone here that doesn't know the history of this thing?

As was the mission statement, Swerve turns into a pretty well realized Chevrolet Aveo.
Complete with painted tail lights and door handles. Windshield wipers and tiny painted Chevy logos.
It's not MP or binaltech level but for a deluxe it's a good amount of car detail.

Swerve's got an autobot symbol on his hood that you can barely see since it's dark red on red.

Blaster's well shaped. Neflix Soundwave is obviously what everyone wants but the tweaks to his torso are just enough to make him look a bit too wonky to me. At the same time, Siege sure will have acres of sculpted detail compared to Blaster.

Transformation has a lot of neat little touches to it. Panel play you don't see very often from HasTak.

Swerve's robot mode is a sort of a stumpy guy. Don't be be fooled he is bigger than than modern deluxes, by a good deal actually.

The face on Swerve carries a lot more personality than his regular-ass car mode did. The Autobot themed helmet is cool to seen thrown on a literal who.

Posability is sorely lacking. To put it simple; Swerve has no bicep or thigh swivels at all.
But they did manage both waist and wrist swivels.
Ball jointed neck, shoulders and hips.
Ankles tilt just the tiniest bit, enough to keep his feet flat when his legs are closed as much as they can be.
Knees and elbows don't quite bend 90 degrees

No unlike Alpha Trion I did not misplace Swerve's weapon, he just doesn't have one.
Really just get this guy if the exclusivity intrigues you and if you like slightly different transformations.

This one takes me back. The amount of butthurt that this figure caused when it was announced was unlike anything since the rest of the Classics seekers were only available through that BotCon boxset.
At the time, I wasn't much of a car guy, but now that I'm older and have developed something of an affinity for them, I really do wonder why they chose something as boring as the Aveo.

Here's a wacky idea. Broadside remould where the Aircraft carrier is now an Alpha-Trion style Spaceship mode, and the Plane is now a seafaring battleship.
Call it Flank-Speed or Super-Firing or something.

I like the idea, but it will need a rule to not include building systems or something. Not that I have anything against those, but any robot built out of a building system can technically be considered a shape-changing robot.
