Let's be honest though, this isn't much of an upgrade from the main line's Trike. A bit of careless red airbrushing isn't enough to simulate dirt.

And I can't even imagine what the grey jizz is supposed to be. More dirt maybe? If that's the case, I'd have preferred that in a slightly darker red color to make it look like the dirt from the airbrushed areas has clumped in some parts. Lighter and greyer looks like the paint is just peeling off.

Saw this at Walmart, he's a hefty boy. I wouldn't call it accurate to the Winston model at all, other than the frill it seems to be just based on the actual dinosaur (including the distinctive bent upper jaw that for some reason was left out of the movie design). If you like it, buy it, dinos are cool regardless of the license.

that's an old release, but I will say the toys are getting lazier/minimal paint jobs for most of the line with a few exceptions. The actual sculpts and designs are still good, its just the incredibly mediocre paint apps that are making the more recent toys look worse.

What's there to talk about? These aren't meant for stop motion, and from the looks of it very linear stop motion, ie just running forward. Looking at the articulation the arms can move laterally, but the neck, tail, legs, knees, can only move forward and back.

Do you prefer a 1/18 collection or 1/12 collection for Jurassic stuff? If 1/18, get them. If 1/12, don't. Personally, I'd say go with 1/18 considering there's medium+ dinos and the possibility of vehicles and playsets for Hammond Collection. Also mainline compatibility. Super dope. I think a few companies have made little Temnospondyls. Safari Ltd perhaps. I think Kenner released a Koolasuchus for like, The Lost World, or something. I loved Koolasuchus in WWD, he was the most interesting part of Spirits of The Ice Forests. I love Temnospondyls, but I also wish we got more Rauisuchian figures. Postasuchus you gotta admit was right up there with the non-dinosaur stars of WWD.

Didn’t Wu and the InGen scientists correct that issue with the JW batches? Besides, if you want to be technical, the book shows that only some of the dino’s had frog DNA while the ones without it remained strictly female.

I feel the biggest mistake is: Movie is mainly focused on bioengineered locusts and human clone

Returning back to the "Surviving and escaping the secluded dino facility" instead of focusing on the premise set up by the previous movie of the consequences of a world of free range dinosaurs and what happened to the Dinos that were successfully sent off with bidders from the previous movie.

It was still enjoyable, but could have used more focus on the dinosaurs.

It's both, there's tons of dinos but none of them stick around for long. I was kind of reminded of Mortal Kombat Annihilation where they tried to squeeze in pretty much every character from the most recent game but as a result most of them have a single scene and are either killed off or never seen again. Giga gets the most face time but it's still barely in the movie. The atrociraptors only appear in that Malta chase scene and that's it. You could cut pyroraptor's appearance entirely and nobody would notice. Even Blue and Beta are barely in the movie

I'm going to see Dominion tonight. Jurassic Park is my favorite movie and as a fan of the franchise since the beginning and having realistic expectations. This was honestly the most disappointing thing for me. I would have been happier if the entire movie was like the first 15 min or so of just "we live with dinosaurs now" and the dangers that entails. But instead we get quickly swept up into another facility where dinosaurs are made and studied where they are forced to escape.

If they do make another movie, I hope it actually does focus on living in a world where dinosaurs can attack at any moment.

So, I just got back, and I actually really liked it desu. I would say it's my third favorite. My only issue with it was the Giga should have gotten more screen time and a bigger, better finale. Also, would have liked more of the Buck and Doe from TLW. But other than that, the story worked for me, more so than Fallen Kingdom.

Looks just like my orginal Bull rex figure squashed and bent in the same places 15 of ownership and still not 100% but thankfully a bit better after stuffing all the inside with a big trash bag. Kills the roar effectiveness but improves the figure in the long run

They never were, the first JW emphasized pretty heavily that raptors aren't tameable and Owen was in constant danger and any wrong move would make them attack, like this was a huge point of contention since Haskins wanted teained raptors for military use and Owen had to keep telling him it doesn't work like that. FK for some weird reason ignored this and turned Blue into a Pokemon and gave her this special bond with Owen with almost human levels of understanding. Just saw Dominion. It wasn't good per se, but I had a pretty good time with it and could see the potential if they trimmed away some of the fat. That being said, I fucking love the Therizinosaurus, makes me want to buy the toy now. All the promotional art made it look like shit.

There're four different versions.

1994 JP Series 2 Gulper Tyrannosaurus (Unreleased other than prototypes. I don't think it had electronics, but I'm not sure)
1997 TLW Series 1 Bull Tyrannosaurus (First repaint with sound effects)
1998 CE "Omega" Tyrannosaurus (Second repaint with same sound effects)
2009 Tyrannosaurus (Third repaint and retooled with new leg articulation and new sound effects.)

Mattel seems incapable of making an articulated pyroraptor with proper plumage as seen in the film. There are some nice looking minifigs of the Pyroraptor in the Captivz line, but they're not really articulated and the biggest version is still smaller than a Mattel ferocious pack figure, but the sculpt is very nice IMO.
