I gotta agree. $130 is pushing it. $100 feels like it would've been far more acceptable. Considering they originally priced MODOK at $50 so $100 for Mojo, 2 regular figures and a Scottie Young Wolverine would be a pretty fair imo. The special packaging absolutely doesn't justify the extra price.

Hasbro knows they can get away with charging extra for a "premium" figure on special packaging, like the Infinity Saga figures. The torsos are. The head and limbs are still solid PVC plastic, so even with the hollow torso those titan figures still use more plastic and paint than that Sentinel.

I'm curious though if they're subverting releasing an MvC line by going with comic versions that were the obvious inspiration for the characters or their in game art. Because if so I'm wondering if the Sentinel in MvC was ever in any of the comics? A big hulking almost Hulkbuster-looking Sentinel. I just want one that's several inches taller than the normal ML's, not the giant expensive Haslab version.

Dan’s toy collection is almost never a confirmation of actual retro toys in the pipeline. He had been putting up Doc Ock and Venom for over a year before either one was revealed. Speaking for myself only, AoA was not very good when it came out. The only draw seemed to be the few issues that Joe Mad drew, and only because of his art. White eyes would be a improve, but that small upper body is the real issue. They should have gone with something big, like Outback/Dr. Hulk or new Hercules body. Movie Venom has probably the perfect body/proportions but I think the textures on that one would make weird.

This is such a weird choice. Morph has a very specific features but they just decided to give him a generic face. It's like they meant that head for a different character and didn't feel like designing a new head for Morph so they just used this one.

Here's my AoA take: I applaud Hasbro for the themed wave, I wish they did more, like I wish X-Men wave one had been ALL Jim Lee designs instead of mixing eras like they did (Colossus). That said, I never liked the AoA storyline, and I found the artwork not to my liking. I might try to reread it one day, but not any time soon.

AoA waves came after I was turned off by ML and their shitty sales tactics, and I was cutting back expenses, to which I did not need full waves of characters I didn't want that were variations of characters I already had.

Colossus pissed me off. Hard stop. I bought all of X-Men wave one. I bought that wave 1 Colossus, wishing he were the Jim Lee version, but also needed him solely to get the Juggernaut BAF piece. THEN those a-holes at Hasbro forced you to buy another Juggernaut just to get Colossus. Then they forced you to buy another Cyclops and Wolverine JUST to get Jean Grey. Then they forced you to buy a variant of Rogue if you wanted Pyro. Then you had to buy another Domino and Cannonball if you wanted Rictor (and you were fucked if you trusted them and pre-ordered from the Disney Store who cancelled every order!). And now, everyone who's been asking for Longshot has to buy another Dazzler that's extremely close to the still available retro carded version.

I've been buying ML's since ToyBiz wave one. They've been gouging us like mad these past couple of years, and really fucking over the people that have stuck with them.

Most of us have been collecting long enough that we'll almost all say that space to display is an issue. I want one Rogue, not every costume that comes out. And we get gouged to complete teams that we start on. So maybe some collectors funds that COULD have gone to AoA waves were gobbled up by buying another Juggernaut, another Cannonball, another Dazzler, etc, etc, etc.

Unironically I am! He's my first BAF in awhile that I'm willing to get an entire wave for. Going to use the figures I'm not fond of for custom fodder though. Pyro could absolutely work as a standalone character if they’d just throw in some decent flame effects pieces.
The proliferation of Colossi was frustrating.
The Mojo-world 3-pack is a disservice to fans. Dazzler doesn’t factor in to Mojo stories—especially in that costume—to the extent that other characters do. If that 3-pack came with Ricochet Rita or Spiral, it would have been an infinitely better use of the 3-pack format. Or even the small version of Gog N’Magog. I also question the use of the Skottie Young X-Baby Wolverine. Why not an Art Adams version or the J.J. Kirby version? Young’s version just doesn’t fit.

Looks nice. I feel a chunk of the movies issues would have been resolved if they better showed the book influencing and empowering her. I know Wanda is in of herself strong, but so easily defeating the Illuminati would make more sense if she'd been not just corrupted but strengthened by the Darkhold. Also her saying good bye to Vision at the end of WandaVision seems like she's accepting her loss, but in MoM she's full on evil mode. I know her being swayed was hinted at with the "Mom help" from her kids at the end of WV. I just didn't feel it was enough. Plus better explaining it was the books influence in the movie itself would make Strange's new eye seem less a power up and more a huge potential threat. Which yeah we saw in the one universe with evil Strange, but at the end he's going around like everything is peachy before multiverse mommy shows up.

If you guys see Stealth Iron Man in stock now, be careful. The plasticizer leak seems to be very prevalent on this figure rellative to other Iron Men. Opened mine since I got it on sale and found the leaks on the joints. I bought it for custom fodder but staying 2 years in box probably led to faster leaks.

I noticed the limbs can actually be used on other smaller wristed characters so you can make some nice body horror modifications

It's funny to me that there's a lot of detail on the figure itself eith paint apps but the gun is just a solid silver piece with no real details or colors on it.

The head sculpt is superior on the new legends. The body is better main body is better on the select. The articulation is pretty much the same, although the legend does have wrist tilt.

Overall I'd say its a tie. Comes down to what's most important to you. For me it's the head.

Chinese here. Base on information on baidu tieba, these retro carded spidermans are bootleg from the legit factory and not using the original mold. So these are really close to real ones but as you can tell from the video, the red section on waist don't line up with the chest. They are definitely going to make more bootleg from this mold and might improve it so you wouldn't tell the difference at all.

Chinese collectors are kinda mad at this because alot of sellers are now pretenting selling legit one and hiking the price.

Here are some update:
Like some of you may know, there is a huge grey market in China. There are people who buy inventories, usually surplus products for export, from factory and resell to other sellers. Consumers in China can then buy these products meant for foreign market with a cheaper price so no one complain anything here. A lot of American toys enter Chinese market this way, more so than Japanese ones.

For the retro spidermans, what happened is that both the legit and inventories for all three retro spidys sold out fast so sellers ordered more from the grey market distributors, but the factory have nothing left and don't have the mold in hand so they had to start making bootleg. The factory propaply made around 2000s of these and rushed with the production so that's why these bootlegs are so good but with obviously wrong paint job and the paint is not fully dry. Some sellers who were selling the bootleg may not know these are bootleg because they usually get real product from the grey market, though they probably know now.

I love how unashamedly cartoony this Gobby is, you wouldn't get accessories like this from any other company. Shame that laughing head is cross eyed and I'm sure those Norman heads will be oversized, but he looks fantastic nonetheless

that is exactly it. I don't know if that is the aesthetic they are going for, but no matter how many accessories and light up features they include, the always come across as looking like dolls. maybe they need to work on the proporations and add some definition to their torso's and limbs.

A few months back. He said he specifically comes here because he knows his pics detail the thread, which they used to. The reason everyone took issue with him in the first place was that for several threads, it was literally “here’s a picture of my shelf, I moved Dormammu’s foot two inches, does it look good now?” every other reply, and people got tired of him dominating the thread just to look for validation.
At least, half the people did. The other half decided to white knight for the guy because “people deserve to post photos on the board”. Which I agree with, unless it’s mostly the same photo over and over. The guy has like three over exaggerated poses he does, which I wouldn’t even be paying attention to if I hadn’t seen them hundreds of times.
Honestly congratulations that you’ve managed to completely miss everything over the last few months. It got to the point where he would take a few hours of breaks from this thread, but then you’d see him in the Dragonball thread or the Yamaguchi thread. If anyone spends too much time on the internet, it’s this dude.

In the last display thread he posted, no lie, al!ost r30 different pictures of his cabinets. Most of these pictures capturing multiple shelves but centering on each individual one. So you had bunches of pics showing essentially the same thing at slightly different angles. No one else on this board does that. There were multiple other anons in that thread with just as many, if not more shelves, that manages to only post 2 or 3 pics of their stuff.

Best part is he got super defensive when people called him out on it and told him that wasn't proper etiquette.

I never understand people who do this. Like what do you even do in that room other than look at toys? Don't get me wrong, my home office is decked out with toys, but I have other things in there too. I have my desktop, my 3D printer, and a work table where I build models/do toy photography/other random shit. Like he doesn't even have a desk in there. He's literally done a youtube review from inside his cabinets. It's kind of embarrassing honestly, and it's only icing on the cake that he kicked he daughter out of the room too.

It's one thing to post a few pics of your display in a display thread. It's another thing completely when you consume al!ost a third of the images before it hits the image limit. It's even more egrigious when half the pictures are showing the same shit over and over again from a slightly different angle. I don't think anyone would give a shit about this guy if he didn't try to dominate every thread he posts in.

Big if the sells are good, but only Hasbro knows when. You just have to swap his arms and head and keep the rest of Herald costume, maybe a repaint in some parts. Seems like a easy custom to be honest.
