Nothing from the Thor wave. I did see Gorr at Walmart the other day though. He had a pretty good Bale likeness. I do plan on getting Thor, Iron Man and Maria Hill. I dig the new Thor and IM designs even if they did fuck up Tony's helmet. I'm hoping there might be another maybe MCU head or something that may work with that body. And then I want Maria to hang out with my SHEILD boys and Nick Fury.

Okay I just checked and i was right, this figure DOES reuse 2015 Thanos BAF spider woman arms and hands and the lower part of the torso along her big fat ass, though i think on a slightly less voluptuous way since that spider woman was really voluptuous.
As for the legs, the thighs are really similar but i think they're different, smaller for sure but i think the upper part of the tight is exactly the same, just slimmer, i was wondering even back in the day how they managed to make such a voluptuous figure and never reuse the mould again (until now) and even then they haven't reuses it again and didn't even reused it completely

Not the biggest fan of mezco but since i missed out on the ML i got it pre ordered. Seems to be worth the money imo. Also I think mezco works better with the older comic designs instead of the modern ones. Now I'm just waiting for their Doc Ock reveal.

Honestly a pretty weak release. Idk if the costume is supposed to be that shiny, and I know they said they wouldn’t do double elbows if it compromised the structural integrity of the limb, since teen girls have less room for the joints than buff men, but still. Some neat effects for her powers would’ve saved this figure imo. If it’s too difficult to make a decent wave with 100% MCU molds, they should throw in a few comic figures and give these the effort they deserve. I’m glad I only collect comic stuff, at least we get decent accessories.

When is the animated SP//DR line getting announced? I want my Peni marvel legends, i know it'll be the animated one which is fuck but I'll take it, i just wanna see if they'll release comic peni too since they tend to release a couple of spideys everytime there's a Spidey in a line.
Since they're releasing movie SP//DR i can assume when across the spider verse comes out leopardon will be the BAF, i just hope they release comic peni on either SP//DR or the next Miles movie

Anon... It's literally a movie SP//DR line, Peni will be articulated and they'll also add a small penny in the shittiest figure of the set, how do you think shit ML like Kamala and company sell? They figured out they have to put the most important baf pieces in the shittiest figures of the set to get the sales, fuck even toybiz did this but there was a time when Hasbro kinda fucked up there, i just hope at least comic peni is the articulated one and movie peni is a small one so they can wait until next year to release an articulated movie peni along the set of said movie

Quite a few. The recent Rhino started out as a BAF. Monster Venom was sold on his own too despite originally being BAF
The problem is more with SP//DR's popularity and how well it would sell on its own

Monster Venom, Kingpin, Arnim Zola, Thanos, Rhino, MCU Ultron, MCU Giant Man, M’Baku, MCU Vulture, and that’s not including ones that were part of multipacks like Dormammu, Abomination, Cull Obsidian, and MCU Thanos (twice). Plus there’s $30 “new characters” that are repaints of BAFs or later used for BAFs, like Outback Hulk, Ulik, or Toxin.

Also, the way they're packaging these things is fucking hilarious. When I first opened mine I thought I got ripped off, cause I just pulled out the internal cardboard support and there was nothing on or in it. I shook out the box and this fucking thing fell out, the figure and accessories literally wrapped in those waxy little bags, like the ones you get banana peppers in down at the deli.

I gotta say, while hilarious, this isn't terrible, I was so tired of cutting figures loose from their rubberband and plastic tie prisons, this is so much easier. But they should at least tie up or heat seal the baggies, they're just left open and Wolverine's stuff had dumped out into the box.

Seems so, both came out fine. Wolverine had an additional layer of paper laid down over his legs, possible to prevent paint transfer from his arms. Jubilee had a little cardboard frame around her legs, possibly to protect the coat.

Both are loosely contained by the cardboard frame inside the box, so they can't REALLY rattle around much, but it can be a free-for-all with the accessories, so be careful when emptying out your box. There may be loose pieces caught at the bottom.

It's not completely 1:1, spider woman had a different chest plate with bigger tits, also I'm pretty sure the legs on that spider woman were meatier and musclier (i had that figure, even standing up straight her legs looked like they had protutions from being so voluptuous) but maybe it's just a variant, and I'm pretty sure bloodstone and spider woman are not the same mould because of my statement above.
Also I just checked the bloodstone ML and you're right, 2015 spider woman IS bloodstone reused, those are the voluptuous legs i remember, all they did was give her a new chest plate with bigger tits, new pair of hands, new head, 2 web effects on her arms and a re-painting and there you go, so this lady Loki is also a reuse of bloodstone with kneecaps, horns, cape and a new coat of painting except that she has slightly less corpulent legs? Pretty sure they're not the same, at least not the same volume

Dude, I own both figures. They’re identical. Lady Loki has add-on parts, and Spider-Woman has different biceps to accommodate her wings, but both of them are straight reuse of the Moonstone mold. Same chest, same legs.

I don't consider reuse the problem. It's what they reuse things for, and how it's done. That plus price hikes make it much easier to criticize. They release enough figures I consider good to great that I stay interested. Some more effort and accessories with staying at current prices would go a long way. Ideally prices would go down but I don't see that happening.

Absolutely, I understand Mezco stuff can be divisive but I doubt we'll get a better Gobbo from Hasbro or a Japanese company. Same for characters like the FF or Dr Doom
My biggest issue is that those Norman heads look like they'll be too big for most suit bodies and I'd love to make a suited Norman

Animated series Jubilee came in today. She's not bad. The packaging fucked her legs up and made her bow-legged. I might try to remove her cel-shading with some alcohol. I don't think it'll be too hard. I wish she came with a smiling head though.

Jubilee funnily enough is the one of two that I'm missing (other is Gambit).

The luckiest purchase I've ever had was getting Blue Beast for 30 dollars last year. Everything else was either significantly below market value (like finding Love Triangle at a gamestop on clearance), or at cost (Prof X which was 40 dollars at the time)

They had an actual idea of what they wanted for the cartoon and a toy box full of characters to bring into their stories while they took Hunger's name just because he was kind of like a vampire for yet another fucking mirror match in an origin story movie.

The direction is what really killed the movie IMO. Leto wasn't even as bad as he usually is and the story was fine but everything about the way it told it was janky as hell.

It's for the 50s-60s year old collectors. They're the ones I've only ever see pick up retro style figs in stores. Saw and old guy grab one of each of the retro Star Wars figures the other day. They sell enough because stores keep restocking them. It's just the folk buying them come in during midday since they're probably retired and living out their life.

I'd like if Eddies origin was more akin to the comics but he's been an anti-hero/hero longer than he was a villain. The movies have their problems but they're at least fun in of themselves. Hopefully when Venom gets into the MCU proper he'll be better fleshed out instead of Sony just throwing everything they can at the wall in hopes it sticks.

It is overpriced but they're characters I want. Don't care for Knull but he'll be a good stand in for other things, and I love the movie Venom body so I'm happy to get him as a comic Venom. I usually want butterfly joints but the movie Venom body has enough range for me to not care as much as I usually do. It has the ab swivel and waist crunch which is the design I wish they'd go with for every figure.

That's around what price I go to for for clearance MLs that are vaguely interesting but not must haves. Just got the White suit Black Widow off Bestbuy for $12.99 on their clearance deal for example. Wasn't a must have but nice for that price.

It's a good price IMO, but only if you need the Kingpin. If he's a mild interest then maybe hold off. Though the animated version just came out, so a new one won't be any time soon.

My local Meijers just got some new Legends on the shelf but i can't tell/remember what they were. I'll have to double check but i think they were of some X-men wave. It seemed weird since the one they had before that was still the Armodillo Wave stuff.

My toothpick cigar works well enough, probably gotta paint that bluetac. All in all I'm happy with the cel shaded Wolverine, though I'm going to remove all the shading. I just like the head and blues better.

The cel shaded figures look so much better without the shading. Fyi for those anons that want to get rid of it use a a tip and nail polish removal. I used it on my jubilee and I think she looks pretty good

Finally decided and ordered a select spider woman.
The figure is amazing and it still holds up for a 2006 figure, everything is really good, my only problem is that this shit has baaaaaaarely any fucking articulation it feels more like a small statue with articulation, the thing is that the ball joints on this figure are too fucking small to be able to do anything

Articulations is pretty fucking shit, the articulation on the arms is non existent because the web is stuck on the inside of the torso, it can't be removed, you can move the elbows a little but the forearms have basically null articulation, i have no fucking idea why they did it like this considering toybiz already had a spider woman with webs pegged to the forearms instead of the fucking torsk

I've seen the new selects and they do have a lot of articulation but even old ones had a lot (the ones from 2012) i remember seeing cable, Deadpool, hulk, gambit, wolverine, superior spiderman, etc. Have a shitton of articulation but I guess the 6 year gap made them improve, I've yet to wonder why they haven't retro carded or re-released spider women legends, at least Jessica drew deserves a retro card legends since she's the first spider woman of them all and a classic character, besides the 2015 one is difficult to get and really expensive for a legends, I'd like to get Anya corazon again, i used to love that shit back when i got her in 2014
