I think that often depends on the character whether that will pan out for them -- because I see plenty of Marvel legends where Hasbro put no effort into the figure sitting on clearance at 9 to 10 bucks (although unfortunately some where effort was put in and it's still at 9-10 bucks)

Guaranteed how well the figure turns out and how much effort is put into it depends on if someone on the Legends team likes that character. You can tell a lot of effort went into Psycho-Man, while a lot less went into Binary.

They made a white and black one waaaay back when, on the old Bullseye buck. They said that was why they made the stealth version on a newer body mold. Guarantee that we get the regular version soon though, it’s basically just a repaint and they were likely saving it for a wave of the whole team.

In photoshop, yeah. Figure still looks pretty good, but when you know what to look for you can tell they fudged it.

Still, check the customs database in the OP and you can find almost every custom Binary is better than what we got.

Because they are. Most of them only have one or two characters people wanted. The rest are shelf warmers only made to complete the wave. Worst when the baf is the only good figure. For example the Eternals and Shang Chi waves were both garbage. And Strong Guy while not that popular was the only good figure in its wave.

Probably not. But the problem is the MCU characters they chose aren't even that good at 25 bucks either. Comic Hawkeye would sell instantly. Comic Moon Knight would sell instantly. Maybe comic Kate will sell to the hardcores.

Shang Chi had two non-Movie characters PLUS a highly desirable BAF character, Mr Hyde.

Eternals was 100% movie cast and a movie BAF.

Sharon Carter is a supporting cast member who hasn't had a figure yet. Kate Bishop hasn't even had a regular Marvel figure yet IIRC. And Ms Marvel's original figure was part of a hard to find wave with garbage distribution and her Avengers game version sold well.

Also, it's been ages since we've had a proper MCU Ultron.

Is your home very humid and hot by chance? I live in a very hot and arid region and thus need to keep my A/C running at pretty much all times during the summer. I keep my house at 76F and it's super dry. Consider a dehumidifier, that may help if you're having paint bleed. Only time I've had happen is when the paint is outright scratched off.

Not sure if its that humid but my AC is also running most of the time in the summer, while heat in the winter. I believe the period this happened was from around September to January or so which is winter so it shouldn't have been very hot. Also never had it with any other figures and their accessories. I've done a few ML RE kitbashes over the past year or so. I wanted some Tyrant looking creature to go with them but nothing stuck out to me. The old RE Tyrant options had subpar articulation (Neca) or looked cartoonishly goofy (Toybiz). I had gone looking for one of these to add to my symbiote Selects and noticed the store exclusive had a head I can pass off as a Tyrant in my mind. Good mix of articulation and looks.

I guess you just have more room than me. I don’t have enough space in my house to display all 300+ of my figures. I personally don’t really mind, because I think less is more with a display, so having them all out would just make my house look messy. Yeah that was me, unless some other anon has been looking too. I didn't get the normal Carnage head with this guy since he was loose and of the store exclusive. I didn't care though because I wanted it mainly as a Tyrant stand in and I can always find the head on ebay or something later. I have the Anti-Venom and the normal one is on preorder. Being a Selects I'm impressed with the Carnage's articulation. It's not perfect and a few tweaks would go a long way but it's still great.

I didn’t post it because the person harassing me and begging me to post a shelf (while not posting their own) is a troll. They reused the Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure (for some reason) with a new torso to make six-arm Spidey. That figure has indented webbing on the mold. Then they made Doppelganger on the same mold, but for some reason they also raised the webbing on the new parts (his head, feet, and hands).
Not going to lie, the figure itself isn’t terrible. Multiple arms make up for a complete lack of torso articulation. That being said, it’s easily Hasbro’s laziest figure and he needs a redo, bad.

I don’t think so? The 90’s carnage isn’t amazing since it’s Bucky cap, but the Venompool wave one works as a substitute and it’s great. Demogoblin is also really good imo. Shriek is kinda plain, but she’s on the best female mold by a mile so she’s not a bad figure. Doppelgänger is definitely the stand out for being crappy. And we’ll never get Carrion because Hasbro hates completing obscure villain teams lol

I believe the term started with actors. A-list headline movies, B-list used to be main stars but aren’t now OR they’re a teen actor, C-list are character actors, and D-list are basically newbies who get hired for singular roles.
As far as comic characters, I’d say villains like Green Goblin are A-list, Absorbing Man is B-list, Boomerang is C-list, and Rocket Racer is D-list. I’d say D-list have maybe a couple of appearances but they have zero backstory or they don’t stick around for a full comic. I’d honestly put Spot in C-list, he’s goofy but he’s gotten a couple good stories and now he’s in a movie.
