Don't mind me, just blessing the new thread with some SOVL.

I made a Wolfpack Hideout MOC in Studio, slowly collected all the parts to build it, and finally put it together the other night. It's nothing too crazy, but I tried to keep it on-spec with the era and it has a few play features.

Thanks anons, I will take some more pictures of it at some point. Here is what it looks like in Studio. It's a pretty small fort/hideout with a swiveling wall that can close up the whole thing or swing out (as pictured) to make the hideout look a bit bigger. There's wooden double doors up front, a secret passage door on the side, a jail cell with a skeleton in the back, a table with some coins and a chalice, bucket with a sword, a treasure chest, and on the second floor there's a throne area, a catapult that works pretty nicely, and a few lookout spots, with the tallest being a small tower in the back.

Brickbuilt hull looks so much better than the big molded ones. And you're right, having two proper decks on such a small model is really nice. The shark is also adorable - definitely solidifies its position in the Creator theme.

Second deck adds to the authenticity and playability. Really puts the Black Pearl and Queen Anne to shame, making them look like glorified Viking longships with guns. Of course, I wouldn’t complain about the classic sets. The Caribbean Clipper gets away with one deck because it’s very pretty and has soul.
Brick built hull came out much better than I expected, I think I’ll use the same general idea later to build a Roman Trireme, but I’ll probably make it a bit longer to have a third cannon port to repurpose for oars

All they need to do is bring back Fantasy Castle with some minor tweaks

>Two factions: Heroes (Led by Majisto the Wise) and Villains (Led by Ogel the Great)

I was in my dark age during the mid-late 2000s and completely missed out on Fantasy era Castle but looking at the set pics makes it clear I would've loved the shit out of it. Knights vs Knights is boring as fuck, but Knights vs Skeletons and Trolls? Sign me the fuck up.

What the hell is the hype around this figure and the set he's in? I could get it if this was the only Jango figure Lego has made, but they've released more versions of him since yet his price has only continued to rise. Zam as an example appeared in only one set in the same year as Jango, hasn't been made since and yet they're worth a fraction of the price.

As I understand it, they started doing fleshies because NBA agreed to let Lego do licensed NBA sets only if they made the minifigs flesh colored instead of yellow, so then Lego started doing that for all licensed stuff as a result. However, that story doesn't really add up with nigger Lando mixed in with yellows in the same set. And yes Lando absolutely should have been yellow.

hear me out, when the Jurassic world/park theme lisence finishes lego should combine their dinosaur and castle themes. Focus on dinosaurs and humans working together with brick built dinosaurs as well as the molded ones.

Triceratops siege weapons, Pachycephalosaurs jousting arena, Castle walls guarded by pterodactyls, Farms being worked on by stegosaur, Brachiosaur trading caravan, Armoured T-rex ridden by a knight, A carriage boat pulled by a plesiosaur. Take all the classic knight factions and theme them after dinosaurs instead. You can have action sets and just chill civilian life as well.

Or rare colours. I wish there were more parts in that beautiful metal blue that the technic super battle droid had.
And while I do prefer the newer greys, I prefer the old brown. Not the reddish brown. But regular brown has so few parts.
Also glad sand green and teal made a full come back. Sand blue still underappreciated and other sand colours left in the dust forever.
Another thing that annoys me is the colours of technic pins and axles. They don't all have to be black or grey, but if they make them colourful, why not release at least a few colours to not break every technic colour scheme.
And don't even get me started on mixel joints. It's a disgrace.

And yeah, that's basically what I've been doing with my builds since then. Just for something like a food truck, delivery van or tuner cars in general I often like decals. Just Lego's stickers age like milk, it fucking sucks. If I ever get a sealed Tiny Turbos set again I'll make sure to scan the sticker sheet.

What other Lego sets deserve the Barracuda Bay/Galaxy Explorer/Lion Knights Castle treatment of taking a set from the past and reimagining it with modern parts/techniques? Emphasis on "Deserves", I mean the really really iconic sets of the 70s/80s/90s, not some random set you personally have nostalgia for but isn't that well regarded by fans.

The only contender I can think of that doesn't have any overlap with the other 3 (Pirates/Space/Castle) is the Metroliner, it was THE 9V train and emblematic of 90s trains as a whole. A modernized Metroliner with Horizon Express-tier engineering and a bit more Amtrak influence in design. That or maybe the black and yellow Technic Supercar

These are people that have cut off their reproductive organs and sewn a section of their lower intestine and anus into their groin. They have to take drugs to prevent that abscess from closing. They shit out of both.
But even more than that, they disgust me because they prey on people's good faith to push their ideological virus. It's the worst when it's being pushed on kids.
I genuinely say this: I am glad that so many of them kill themselves. At least the problem is somewhat self correcting.

I've noticed this too, same thing happens when you leave minifigs out on display for some time - the joints get super stiff (or loose, but mostly stiff)
I've had minifigs from in-production sets arrive with slightly loose arms/legs; not sure what causes it, but I find it's prevalent with parts that are a solid colour (example: all white pants or all white torsos - especially ones from Pick a Brick)

They were all legit Lego, but Unlimited Bricks packaged ~6,500 round 1x1 tiles in a single ziplock bag which exploded in the box during transit; they also shorted me on some of those tiles, so I don't think they actually count it and just go by weight

I personally don't think it has anything to do with FAKE Lego, as people will catch on quickly and report the sellers, but sellers selling stolen Lego is more likely

It's evident that there ARE people with connects inside of Lego factories as there were (and are) "bootleg" Lego monocolour minifigures being produced in Lego factories in different colours like glow in the dark, transparent colours, pink/red/yellow/azure/etc darth vader helmets, etc. without Lego's permission (hence why they're genuine bootlegs)
These "bootlegs" are being sold on 3rd party markets in bulk, Bricklink recently stopped the sale of these on their site, but they continue to pop up on eBay more often than not - they used to be rare, like, extremely rare (red OG Vader helmet, red/black ghost minifig cloak) but nowadays these things are selling for extremely cheap, this has happened over the past few years, since Lego branched out to china

So the sellers getting these bulk "bootlegs" are (arguably) also able to get genuine Lego minifigures produced for sets from the same connects within Lego factories, because if they're able to PRODUCE bootleg shit WITHIN Lego factories, then they can just as easily sneak out genuine minifigs

Tons of Tusken Raider and Zam Wesell head/torso combos, Jango legs, unprinted Jango Helmets, etc. That's why those single pieces of otherwise expensive figs are still dirt cheap and widely available.

What I find interesting is that the shields / goblin helmets were posted in 2020 and the shields were posted in 2011. He has other odd amounts of stuff like thousands of old dark gray werewolf heads retired in 2004 and listed in 2016.

I would have thought those big uploads of parts were Lego cleaning their overstock rooms to recycle / dispose of items and some employee just taking them instead. It sort of implies that it's just someone taking a box of something here and there over a decade and that Lego still has a bunch of vintage parts on hand just sitting in storage.

He has bulk amount of a lot of really weird things. And at that quantity, you would assume he uploads as he receives.

Sounds like we've already got something going here, although I wish Bricklink themselves would start a branch within the company as they have much more authority and the resources to try and get to the root of the issue
How it could work is this:
>Sellers get flagged somehow (would have to be implemented using an automated system)
>member of the TASK FORCE reviews said flagged listings
>if it seems suspicious, TASK FORCE looks into it further (checking to see if other stock checks out or if it's abnormal in quantity when compared to other items they have, or if they randomly listed 50 GWPs on release date, etc)
>TASK FORCE temporarily shuts down seller's store, creates a ticket, gets them to prove they got the items legitimately by asking for invoices or other forms of proof
A good way to get stuff flagged is if someone lists 200+ of the same minifigure, or if someone lists 15+ of the same set within 2 weeks of the release date
Parts would be more difficult as a lot of sellers legitimately source bulk parts in the 10's of thousands, so I'm not sure what to do there, but I think that the minifigs/sets are the main issue

Good. I bought a Deadpool minifig years ago and he seemed off with how his joints moved. I asked for replacement legs and they still felt weird. Eventually got a used set with the minifig off Ebay and there was some details in the print that was different. Even the joints on him felt normal. I was able to get a refund from the seller.

>How the fuck do these CHINESE sellers get 30+ Forest Hideout GWPs? I looked at their recently added stuff, and most of them don't have anything listed between June 15th - now that would have constituted them getting 30+ Forest Hideout GWPs (if you spend the equivalent of $200 USD 30+ times, you would likely list the shit you bought alongside these GWPs)
As a lego investor (I know, kms) I can answer this question. I have 2 of the hideouts I'm planning to sell. In the rules on lego.com it states that you can only get 1 gwp per household but they almost never bother checking that. I know multiple people who made 5+ orders online and got the gwp with all of them. I didn't wanna do that because
a) they might have actually bothered checking for this gwp
b) I could have become stuck with too many useless sets that would be hard to sell.
Also, I've read reports that in some actual physical lego stores, you could get the gwp, go out of the store, come back 5 minutes later and get the gwp again. It all depends on the cashiers/manager if they decide to call you out. I've also read stories of people taking multiple family members and lining up together but paying separately to get multiple gwps.
As for why they didn't list everything they have, I'm not listing all my stock either (I only sell on a local marketplace website though). I'm not gonna list the blacksmiths and similar sets until they retire and appreciate a bit. Home alone I'm gonna list around christmas time when it goes out of stock and consoomers want to have it immediately. There are people who list everything right away but it looks ridiculous when they have sets that are easily available on lego.com listed for 100% more. So ~30 gwps isn't that unusual. There might be a few people who have actually stolen them somehow but there are scalpers who obtain that many 'legitimately' (at least not by theft). There's basically no way to find out 100% how they got the sets.

I get the general idea of the GWP duplication glitch, but that doesn't explain why so many stores ended up with 20 - 50 of them; I would understand if it's one or 2, but there's a good handful of them mostly based in China that all have these GWPs in high quantities
It ties in with the deeper conspiracy where sellers have 500+ licensed minifigs only available in high-ticket sets, alongside those official "bootleg" minifigs

I did too, but prototypes aren't produced in huge batches/those batches aren't produced in tons of random colours & released to the public, they used to be extremely rare until recent years

That's why Lego never produced fully transparent minifigs - the plastic used for trans parts is different from the ones used for normal minifigs/bricks, and they're more abrasive then stuck together (try putting a trans red bar into a trans red 1x1 cone brick, for example)

But that doesn't explain why they're available in bulk, and in so many random/specialty colours
Usually prototypes are done in basic colours like red/black as we've seen in earlier years with the OG Vader helmet, ghost shroud and other parts

Similarly some people don't understand that when some random retard sends a message to someone who isn't shady, demanding information about their business, they won't necessarily rush to reply to the retard. Especially if the retard is making vague accusations of wrong doing in the message.

Best is to figure out what kind of mechanism and structural parts you need and find a technic set that includes them. Building it will help figure out how to get things moving together, then you can enjoy the nightmare of pins trying to get it all back apart.
Unfortunately, most sets now are just differentials for cars. Don't bother with the pull back cars, though fun, they don't have much in the way of mechanisms.
