I always loved castle as kid and I'm damn ashemed I never got to buy one of those big castles that were still built on giant baseplates.

This one has some interesting elements but overall too expensive for me.

Also, Idk if its just me but I don't think the top parts of the embrasure/battlements suppose to be round. Is that historically accurate to any european castle style? I have visited a lot of castle ruins and I haven't seen any that were like that even with them being over half a millenia old.

I have a little problem with being addicted to digital building myseft.

On one hand its great that I don't have to cannibalize previous builds to see how certain designs would look at fit.

On the other hard, I'm obviously design more than I ever will have the intention to buy, which I don't know if its a good thing or not.

The last 3-4 days I designed over two dozen micro-scale spaceships, and started thinking up lore and species and factions and manufacturing companies etc. for them, I gotta stop, because I just break my heart for not building all of them, despite designing them with existing pieces

I didn't say I liked the $400 Lego castle either. But at least they threw in some textured bricks here and there.
The Creator castle is the best color wise in my opinion mixing light and dark gray together tastefully alongside the other decorations.

I remember going with my mom to a capital city of my eastern europe country.
We were poor during that time and later were waiting for the bus to return back to my hometown.
So we just walked around that city. And i begged her to enter the toy store.

I saw TONS of Lego sets. I was soooo amazed by them because we didnt have those in stores in my town.
And i remember seeing sets with Episode 1 star wars and Gungan Swamp and it just fucking BLEW MY MIND because i watched that movie and loved it as a kid.
I didn't even try to ask mom to buy those tho, because they were INSANELY expensive by those years levels and our budget.
I remember i was watching those sets like those were diamonds or some collectable museum artifacts - you never try to buy those right? Was still kinda sad because i would go so much fun playing with those.

I remember thinking about those sets in a bus back home and thinking about random stuff like "what if i will take that jedi cape and put it on Jar Jar Binks haha...and give him a lightsaber!".
PS:
The only thing i remember clearly from all that huge set of Lego in a display is this set.
I wanted it soooo much...

Might buy it eventually just as a personal thing/a part of a good memory.

I really liked how villains eventually became a party members.
And how Crow-people were portrayed like true-Neutrals that worked for villains and good guys but eventually joined good guys to face greater danger.

Why haven't you switched to COBI yet? They have pirates and castle and military stuff, their bricks are on par with LEGO quality, and there has been zero reports of bricks crumbling like some colors of LEGO have in recent years. The price to part ratio is what LEGO prices used to be over a decade ago. They have licensed sets too, like Top Gun and World of Tanks. Their minifig design is a little cursed, but that seems to be the only negative when compared to all the positives.

Unless you really want another ninjago set or whatever movie disney is shilling, then I guess your only choice is LEGO...

Chima looks incredibly stupid without masks with their flat-ass faces.
And making 1 mold of a head would remove a huge chunk of complexity and bright personality off their characters because having different eye expressions through mask was a nice gimmick.

They're polish, and they've actually done a couple of nazi sets, despite backlash. So, I think Cobi is pretty based. They're a completely legit brand. Plus they do weird sizes and shapes that lego doesn't do. Way more variety. Also, their models aren't hollow or full of funky colors, so you can build mocs easily. Oh, and before I forget, as of a couple years ago, they phased out all stickers for really high quality printed bricks instead.

Ive got their radio controled abrams for like 50dolaros. Bought it somewhere in 2018, its not fast but still works as new. I like their brand but they focua on military to much. Plastic, realistic models feel much better when it comes to this kind of stuff, lego is lego its fucking weird to me when people set up brickbuild dioramas of known conflicts like 2nd world war, maybe its autism but it just feels wrong to me.
