so I have the 60s batmobile as well as the following classic villains - joker, penguin, riddler, catwoman, king tut, egg head, and otto premiger's mr freeze.
I want to make a vehicle that they can all sit in to go along the batmobile. I don't just want to use the joker's low rider set. I want something that's unique but also encompassing of all the villains.
my current idea is a convertible stretch limo so I can have a rear seating area where all the villains can sit around a little goth map where they can plan crimes. styling will obviously be 60s inspired with big wings coming off the sides and marilyn monro bra tail lights. for colours I'm thinking black with lime green highlights. thoughts?

I may have just been lucky so far, but paying for sig confirmation and if everything looks legit, it often is. A ton of my orders come from people with 0-5 feedback - when I set a minimum feedback amount, I got tons of messages asking to bypass it.

There is certainly inherent risk - but, if you want, you can take pictures of the item being packed, the label, sig confirmation, etc, and so long as the item is marked "delivered" then the onus is finally on the buyer. If it is marked delivered and is stolen off the porch, it is not your responsibility. Insurance only covers if it is lost in transit - not if it is stolen after delivery.

I've only had one package lost before being delivered - it was stolen when a mail truck in California was robbed.

Yeah, it's basically the newer version of part technic part 32187 which is often used as thrusters (but only has 4 teeth).

There's actually a ton of weird stuff just plainly under the "technic" category - like the original throwbot limbs are technic rather than bionicle, and despite these parts having teeth, they are not gears.

Yes, they are. Often promo pics are preliminary and don't have the actual final product pictured - the most obvious example of this is the book with the orange classic space guy on the cover.

The helmet is very obviously just painted, and the picture is blown up for the cover, so it looks just horrible. The early promo castle pics used stickers on shields, which is common in a lot of sets, but they are not for the castle.

I believe neither of the 90 year anniversary sets have stickers.

Which that said what should a Twin Peaks MOC have. If it was an ideas set. The cheapest Ideas set was the DeLorean or Space mech for like $30-40 right? Most ideas sets seem to be going for $60 and above with $100+ being what Lego wants to charge.

For a Twin Peaks set I'm guessing Co-op, Harry Truman, Laura Palmer with one side of the face being fleshy and the other being black and white, the three black chairs, the statue will be half brick half fig, two lamps, the small table with planet, and of course the red curtains and the zig zag floor. The floor will most likely consist of 100+ tiles because thats how Lego does things.

I've had all brown pieces brittle and breaking out of sealed lego sets purchased on Amazon prime in 2018. The sets were:
The sopworth Camel
Medieval Joust
Medieval market village

The Joust was so bad I used my prime benefits to return the set and screw over the seller, they definitely gave me a brand new official lego set. I even emailed lego about it and there wasn't really shit I could do. So get this, I returned that one, got my money back, bought a second Medieval Joust brand new and it had the same exact problems albeit not so bad. These sets I'm afraid to mix into my collection for parts. I'm to the point where I don't trust anything but new lego. Over the years I've seen little mention of this problem so I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Yeah I think customer service may have referred me to a individual part replacement, but that first set I had of the medieval Joust, when I described it to them, I had so many brown parts breaking that it wasn't feasible for them to offer me some kind of larger accommodation for a full set that was retired and purchased aftermarket. The second one I bought was much better and only had a couple break but I don't trust them.

Are there any issues with old blue plates? I pulled the original Slave I set out of storage and while I was taking it apart one of the 2x4 blue plates snapped on me.
I was worried one of the brown plates would snap, but never expected a blue plate to break!

what I have now is a repainted ecto-1. I don't want to go with purple and green because that's just the joker and riddler's colours and I think that if I try to put one thing from each villain, it'd be pretty messy.
the back has a little table where I can stick a map tile so the villains can plan their next heist and the rear has an anti-aircraft gun on a swivel that I can replace with some kind of interesting death ray when I feel like designing one.
I'm not sure if I'm sold on this. it's a 59 cadillac which matches well with the 55 lincoln futura of the batmobile but I don't know about the colours. I went with green because it's opposite red on the colour wheel and I think black and green is a good villainous colour combo.

those look like good parts if you're into building modular city. But let's be honest, who the fuck buys disney shit, elves, or half the (((themes))) in modern day lego? They won't even bring back and maintain a castle or pirates theme. Just these mega throwback sets for adults. I'm happy about the castle. Finally in years, and I mean YEARS we get a kino theme. When I was a boy, it was castles, pirates, cowboys, indians, space/water exploration, town, ect... Think about how many kids were inspired to show interest in history because of lego? Now the only original theme lego produces consistent sets for is Town. Why can't they maintain other old themes? Why did they decide to keep castle fans with blue balls for a decade and then put out a set most wont buy because of the price? Also why do the same people that grew up with classic themes, defend the new awful themes? Ninjas are okay, I have some sets for parts. It's a stupid theme though. Lot average is $1 minimum per lot. For example, a $20 order with 10 lots has a $2 lot average. Every singular lot does not need to be $1 or more to meet this criteria, just the average overall (you could buy one $20 item and twenty $0.01 unique items, and still meet the $1 minimum criteria).

So I built Boba Fett's Throne Room and had to make my own dome room because of based Turks dabbing on TLG. Keep it or Sneed it? I didn't get the exact colors as the old Jabbas Palace for the dome pieces and I'm missing the saucer. Since the set is so small you can't really do the full dome so I think I'm gonna brick built a dome curve with plates.

While I agree with you on most of your points, I'm going to have to defend the Elves line. First, it's not really a modern line - it started in 2015 and is now discontinued as of 2019. Second, plenty of people bought it - and the fact that the set parts are still highly sought after and fetch a fair price on the aftermarket should tell you something about its popularity. And like >>9949714 says, the dragons from the first series were some of the best dragons Lego has ever made - they were even better articulation and appearance-wise than the early Ninjago dragons that came out around the same time. It's taken Ninjago to rerelease many of its old dragons under their 'Legacy' line to make them come close, and even then, they're still lacking in articulation (tails that only go side-to-side and not up and down, arms and legs stuck in permanent bent poses with only a few that have flexible ankles/wrists/toes, and generally horrible looking wings). Also, you can't deny that the colors in those sets were eye-catching and memorable.

Tons of large specialized parts. The boat hulls, rigging, and especially the sails are all unique / large / hard to manufacture. Could even count the cannons, minifigs, prints somewhere in there.

There is likely a reason they have the pirate VIP bag coming up - they made too many of the small stuff, not enough of the big.

LEGO hates parts like that now, and just wants to pump out 1x1 tiles and 1x2 bricks that go in everything.

It was likely "too taxing" on their warehouses. Get more profit milking starwars chuds than making cool stuff like this.

$200 was a steal for this.

Storing fully assembled? Storing loose literally zip lock bags in a cardboard box. I'm really of the opinion that Lego uses big cardboard boxes as an illusion to make the price more palpable. I have the mando ATST and the new Both one. Both basically the same amount of pieces and figs but the mando one came in a huge box.

I reworked the roof so it is a tiny bit more custom than the the official Jabba roof. Keep it or Sneed it? Still interested in getting the large dish piece or some 2x2 rounded plates. Also added a tiny bit of detail on the outside ground. Might take the dome from Obi-Wans hut for the right most building and maybe make the tower a little bit taller, maybe a little bit wider. Not sure yet. Weird set where I feel like originally the tower and extra building were supposed to close together in the back like the ObiWan hut instead of just hanging on the sides. But now I have a somewhat goofy awning.

This is such a weirdo set. Props for having a Rancor pit. Maybe as a kid I would have filled in the details with imagination but look at that dinky dome roof. Looking at the last palace set's instructions it is a much bigger box. I think for my build Im just going to keep it with a half dome. There's also a nice little kitchen in the back that you can't even see but can access. This new set at least adds little details and chairs so you can fill it up with Jabbas guests. Now the question is do I order a knock off Jabba, get an old Jabba, or wait next year to see if they release a new one.

The castle itself shouldn't be too bad as it's mostly basic pieces, with a couple that have been out of production for a while. The real cost will be the minifigs and their accessories; all those shields and "vests" with stickers in good condition will easily be the balance of the final pricetag.

With LEGO going up on the prices on Aug 1st at their stores and on S@H how does that affect the stores like Walmart and Target with their existing stock? I talked to the manager at the local Target here the other day and he had no clue that LEGO was going up on their pricing. I know that pricing will incease on most sets new and existing but I'm curious as to how this affects stock already on shelves in NON-LEGO stores that sell it. Sorry if this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find anything on the topic here.

I was planning on order the blacksmith today for the GWP but it's on 60 day backorder on top of the $180 price. I just bought it on Amazon prime for $150 and it will ship this week. I plan on ordering the castle on Tuesday, I just hope the GWP supplies last.

A UCS Sail Barge would be killer and is probably my dream UCS set. Earlier this year I bought the 2006 model from a local seller. I’ve wanted that set since I saw it at my friend’s house way back in elementary school. The set is still fantastic as it is and I always loved the idea of it as more of a playset/dollhouse vehicle like the Millennium Falcon; not much in terms of action features or gimmicks but a lot there to really feed your imagination and display your figures. There is so much potential for that on a much larger scale, maybe 2.5 to 3 times as big. You could easily have 20+ figures, including some like Max Rebo and Ree Yees that have skyrocketed secondhand, various rooms like a dining area, Jabba’s throne, Max Rebo and his band’s instruments, giant cloth sails, movable shutters and turrets, etc., plus a more detailed sarlacc pit and at least one of the desert skiffs. Knowing the price hike it’d probably be in the same range as the upcoming Razor Crest if not higher, but I’d still be very much interested and not surprised if that’s how lego decides to celebrate ROTJ’s 40th.

The first version typically sells in the $1000-$1200 range and is a lot more desirable because it's the original and has a lot nicer packaging with the opening box flap, displaying all of the sets contents. $685 is about all that legends re-release is worth imo.
