Anyway, no doubt these guns still see use in 2022, in the same video you can see FN FALs and M16A2 Commando carbines in somewhat poor states of repair, they need any working gun they have for their department. The Madsen really tolerates some heavy use and abuse which most infantry rifles don't, which probably helps.
A common modification with the ones in Brazil seems to be removing the bipod, I guess it's of limited help when you're less using it as a support weapon and more like a fighting rifle, so the weight may as well go from this already heavy gun. Wrapping the shroud with a thick layer of black electrical tape, or attaching a vertical foregrip on the shroud, to better grip and support the front of the gun, is also seen.
Pictured here is one which still has the bipod.
