Here's a pair of distinct 1911 pistols.
The one on the right is a Commander length one, made by Para-Ordnance, featuring their fabled double-stack magazine frame, holding 14+1rds. For whatever reason, double-stack 1911s aren't as widely popular as they oughta be, there's options out there, but the majority of them go for modernized racegun style of pistol, virtually none aim to keep it comparatively more classic, aside from Para-Ordnance, who unfortunately were consumed by the Remington monstrosity and virtually disappeared.
The other pistol here is a more typical 1911, made by Magnum Research. Yes, they actually named it this, and they put this stupid name in big letters on the side. The best part is that these are well made 1911 pistols, everyone who has one says they're very solid, and you can find many examples which feature a gorgeous color case hardened finish, with the aesthetically incongruous "DESERT EAGLE 1911 G." engraved on the slide in giant letters.
It seems Magnum Research learned that this looks fucking terrible, and the 1911s they make now aren't named after their Desert Eagle, and the new slide legends are a lot smaller and subtler.
