The recent zoomer & millennial jump to socialism comes from their teachers. The are not teaching them directly, but the specific mentality of the modern socialist is a complete mirror of American teachers. Since the US education system exists to give parents time to work, the developing mind substitutes teachers for their models in life. The teaching system self-selects for well educated people on paper who are motivated by passion and then pays them like shit. They go onto complain about "big man not pay me enough no matter how hard I work", the kids hear this for two decades straight and it eventually becomes a foundational aspect of how they see the world. All of this could have been avoided if the Department of Education overfunded schools for one generation, trained kids to succeed, and didn't make an industry that self-selects for gigakarens. This is also where incels come from.
