>>122662she never barked or did anything mean, but she was really stubborn when she wanted to go out or get a treat. she showed signs that she was heavily abused and for years would flinch and run away if you tried to pet her head, but she mellowed out and would only flinch a little as she got older. she didn't know how to fetch or play with toys or even sit, but she loved to get scratched on her back. she had a great life with my grandma and we think she was happy living with us. she had a stroke last summer but she recovered, was totally fine until yesterday morning when she kept stumbling and tripping like she was drunk. she still wagged her tail but we could tell she was in a lot of pain.
it was hard because she was like the last thing connecting us to grandma, it's weird having only one dog to feed now, only one food bowl on the floor... we've been in good spirits lately and holly passing dampened them but i think that if there is an afterlife for dogs then she's able to run around again, chasing squirrels without arthritis and cataracts and maybe my grandma is there to give her bologna like she used to do.
sorry for the wall of blog im crying and i just wanted to get it off my chest
