while looking through the archives I did notice a lot of really detailed, honest questions from 2013, people who actually put effort into their threads. Of course there were a lot of memes and stupid threads as well but I feel like we rarely have threads like this one anymore on /int/.
I also feel like discussion on /r9k/ used to be better. More detailed responses, more thought put into posts, etc. Maybe this is nostalgia speaking of course. But that's how I remember it.
Honestly I quite like 4chan at the moment, just as much as I did a decade ago, and I will probably like it a lot in the future as well. The only thing about 4chan I really dislike is how is has such a negative stigma amongst the general public. 4chan is, in my opinion, the best place online to talk about virtually anything, the anonymous imageboard format is perfect for casual discussions, and that has not changed over the last 20 years. It's a shame more people in the world don't recognize that.
