it's good offensively
the only ice type I find to have a truly bad design is delibird
and freeze is the best status ailment, if you can get it to hit that is (it really needs a spore/toxic equivalent)
my favorite pokemon is weavile

while lacking in raw power, for the most part, ghost is a good trickster type as they learn many "odd" moves to screw with the opponent
very interesting and unique designs
most ghost type pokedex entries are infamous and/or entertaining
drifblim makes my dream team

for the most common type, it has a surprisingly great good:bad ratio of designs
rain gets shit wreck'd, nuff said
many raw power moves for when you don't feel like heavy strategy
quagsire is my second favorite pokemon

most of their designs are terribly bland (bar breloom and heracross)
admittedly, part of my distaste for them may come from the fact that weavile is 4x weak to fighting and they are all the bane of my existence in showdown
some fighting types have an amazingly autismal fanbase (keyword: some, I'm not about to start shit by saying which ones)
most of the moves are bland and/or are retypings of other moves
I just don't like them, even poison is better
