I feel like Kanto has reached it's potential already, it has been seen in 4 different games. It's not like Sinnoh where things could be done with the 3 legends and Primal Arceus. Kanto is finished in my mind, no reason to see it again.
The only addition I can think of would be the introduction of the opposite gender character to the story.
