>>39510795You misunderstand. I'm not precisely arguing "quality," I don't think anyone here is. The models themselves are very appealing to the eye now more than ever before, but that's just it. We've seen these models before and their animations, naturally upgraded with the hardware, but the point remains. And we have no idea how long they plan to continue using only these rigs, with no outstanding upgrades to anything aside from display quality as you mentioned. I will not deny that there's absolutely no reason for them to change the models themselves, but, at the expense of looking like one of those people who occasionally post that reanimated Typhlosion model, the base presentation remains, and it's just very disappointing to see that they haven't bothered to dedicate even just a few added weeks or months time to take another look at what they already have, rather than what they're busy creating. Think the new sprite animations between B/W and their sequels or the sudden addition of animation to the "third" installments for G/S and R/S.
GameFreak has no reason to do this, of course, but even just a moderate reimagining of the battle display, aside from the UI, in this way would really mean a fair deal to the fans, fully removed Pokemon aside.
