>>46095083>It was quite obvious I'm not referencing the games that sold above swoosh anon, that's the point of my reference because I'm comparing it to the ones that sold less.Your wording says otherwise and this copout reeks of moving the goalposts. Now, let's look at the statement once more:
>And yet the older games including their 3rd versions didn't get this much pace. This is STILL factually wrong even counting your goalpost moving, as SM and USUM combined currently outpace SWSH. It is VERY generous to assume SWSH will keep up the same pace in 2021, there's likely no DLC to keep it relevant and whatever new announcement they make for the anniversary will kill its momentum even more.
Then you have GSC, which is what this whole shitposting chain started with before I even jumped in. You want to say GSC combined is outpaced by SWSH, but that's also factually incorrect as combined GS and Crystal just barely break 30m, a number that SWSH very likely won't reach because, again, its sales momentum is only going to drop from here. Only way I see SWSH doing gen II numbers is if the Switch doesn't see another mainline release, at which point you invite blanket comparisons on platform, so it'd be leg piss and SWSH vs the entirety of the 3DS gens.
>Also what, swoosh already outsold XY's sales last two years ago and outpaced its weekly.in Japan, read more closely next time. Check Famitsu's numbers, SWSH only just hit XY's feb 2014 sales numbers, though for the sake of not being a disingenuous cunt a second look at the numbers shows the DLC bungle counts for an extra ~190k sales. Which still puts SWSH below XY's numbers in dec 2014. It is very unlikely SWSH will pass XY's sales in Japan.
