Popping in since it's been over a week. I'm making a Ren'Py VN where you hang out with Cynthia in Olivine City and save the town from a villainous conspiracy. Will contain lewdness. Guest appearance from Jasmine.
I've written 26000 words according to Ren'Py's "extract dialog" function, more than that if you include all the code. The game takes place across four in-game days, plus a fifth day that's mostly just an epilogue. I've written all of days 1 and 2, most of day 3, a little of day 4, and some of the end-of-day transitions where you just chat with Cynthia for an extended period. I would say it's more than halfway done at this point.

It wouldn't matter a whole lot since the player is nameless and faceless. I could easily implement a choice at the start of the game and have the rest of the game reflect the player's choice, but I would have to disable lewd scenes for the female route because I have no idea how to write a lesbian sex scene. I would need another writer's help for this.

Not me certainly, I can't draw. I'm stealing art from all over the place and using stock images for backgrounds. I'd love to hire an artist but I don't have that kind of money to spend.

No, it will be free.. I'm not even accepting donations or anything because I'm using all stolen art and official music that gamefreak owns. I'm pretty sure I'm in the realm of "fair use" but that changes if I'm making money.
