There was nothing simple or comfy about gen 3. All this "save the world from apocalyptic pokemon" crap started in gen 3. All this "give and take" of features and avaliable pokemon started in gen 3. The complexity creep, trying too hard to make pokemon into "srs bzns" started in gen 3.
Gen 3 is a fucking disaster. If I could go back in time I'd travel to Japan and hit Masuda on the head so he couldn't direct this abomination.
