For the first time ever, I'm not even remotely excited for a new Pokemon game.

The story was the worst part about SM, so more story doesn't somehow make it better. The only thing going for these games are the 2 new UBs, but they both look terrible.

Actually, it's not. All I saw was more cutscenes, which is something we're already going to see when we play the games, so they probably could have saved that. I don't quite understand the hype here. The only thing confirmed was even more cutscenes, which /vp/ bitched about for months and months.
Maybe all the people trying to say this is hype are crossboarders. I've been holding out for more Alolan forms of any gen besides genwun, and maybe new Megas. Two (2) UBs won't cut it since they could've just been event mons for the first game.

Wow!) in ~20 hours, I would like something to do that isn't breed Pokemon and traverse a single extra route to arrive to the Battle Tower, because that is not worth repurchasing a game over again.

According to Jisho.org, 兆 means either "trillion" or "sign/omen" which I'm guessing it is the second one, though it didn't have anything for it paired with the "child" kanji
My best guess would be that this means something to the tune of "the prophesied child of darkness" though anyone with more knowledge feel free to correct me.

As lazy as it is its in so many series at this point its kind of its own visual trope.

Its lazy but looks flashy and generally fills in time in the fights to not animate every single blow and imply the fighters are colliding or doing body blows to each other with similar levels of power I guess.
