They create designs meant to transcend whatever kusoge lamefreak cobbles together. Anime characters. TCG characters. All the fucking spin offs. These designs are built to last.
That opinion ended this gen. I have no faith in these guys anymore. What the fuck is this thing in the pic? There's no cohesion with previous monster designs. and it's so fucking boring. Could you even call it a Pokemon if you saw this thing divorced from Sword or Shield? Something happened this gen, and the art direction is suffering. Which is sad, because Alola for all its faults had phenomenal direction.
