#4: Actually Something Relevant Edition
Pardon me for not going through the rigamarole of listing the previous threads or the proper OP, I hope this link to the archive will be sufficient

https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/63227/~/announcement-of-discontinuation-of-online-services-for-nintendo-3ds-and-wii-uHalf of the most recent Pokemon games are in jeopardy right now, and even if I've got my problems with them it's my civic duty as somebody who gives a shit about video games to bring this to your attention. I'll try and give a quick rundown of what should be done.
Firstly, if you don't have a hacked 3DS, I'd suggest getting as much online-related stuff done as possible in Gen 6 and 7. You have about 6 months to enjoy it before it becomes incredibly questionable that it will ever work again.
Secondly, if you do have a hacked 3DS and any game that can possibly go online (likely a Pokemon one, in fact especially one) it is very important that you help gather some data for the people working on unofficial servers. To the best of my knowledge, this is the current team working on it, even if it's not specifically Pokemon:
https://pretendo.network/Thirdly, I feel like this is probably the best time to make this thread. I've seen a pretty dramatic uptick in specifically posting about Gen 6 lately. While a lot of it is probably insincere shitposting, I want to help rehabilitate Gen 6's reputation by putting it at the forefront of this project to keep it's best element alive. I'm also sure some people would actually genuinely like to talk about playing it for once.
Lastly, none of the previous threads had useful resources like /rpg/ did and I think it would be genuinely useful to have such a thing. I personally would like to suggest adding the information on LAN play for some of the Switch titles, which I will include in the next post. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
