Iris's "what a kid" routine in BW giving way to more playful teasing by the time of the Masters Eight was nice to see. By contrast, MPM Misty quickly reverted back to being essentially a background character shortly after the fishing episode. Not sure if it's a hot take, but them not letting Misty adopt her GSC/HGSS redesign hurt her potential.
