Not Effective and normal effect hit super soft, Super Effective hits much harder. Non STAB is nerfed as well iirc.
You have a ton of starters to pick from, plus start with two eevees. Also get like 50 rare candies at the start.
And with all that said, its supposed to be a difficulty hack.
