>>38105668I mean, I like seeing the new pokemon every generation, and from the business side of things more pokemon means more options for merchandising. As much as I would love for pokemon to be a franchise focused on pouring 100% of their effort into the games, it's a multimedia empire at this point and so focus in game design has to pay attention to marketability via other platforms instead of just making the best possible video games.
