>>54174812It's story-driven this time around instead of an episodic one, so the pacing and progression is revamped to befit it. I'd say that the progression and characterization is better highlighted by that as opposed to say Journeys, no dislike to Koharu and Goh. The payoffs are so far better by the aforementioned changes for the current status.
It's still struggling with the animation at corners like episode 13 being a pseudo recap because of on-going Production issues behind closed doors but I'd say that they improved from the drop in the season 25. The start is in Kanto of course for the Kanto milking but it fizzles out decently.
You can jump in without any knowledge about the old show or any of the later Ashnime seasons.
I give the current runtime a 7/10, a good casual pick to pick up when you have the time and a pleasant mix up to the traditional story-telling in a Pokemon show.
