>>44400295Hi OP, fellow karenfag here. I know you said you don’t want to use a trick room team but I gotta say it’s the best option. Cursola is a very scary sweeper in Trick Room and I’ve used mine consistently every season since launch. Here is the set I’m using currently
Cursola (F) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Perish Body
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 5 Spe
- Earth Power
- Shadow Ball
- Power Gem
- Giga Drain
Basically you setup TR and sweep. Safety goggles are my preferred item of choice because you don’t want to get stopped by sleep powder or spore, and it mitigate chip damage from sandstorm which is super helpful when breaking through focus sash. I find that Cursola ability is also pretty useful at times when you have something you can’t kill late-game. Though it’s entirely luck based so you can’t count on it for anything but the occasional assist.
I almost always dynamax Cursola too which will allow it to occasionally survive a physical attack that would otherwise eviscerate it’s terrible physical defense. It’s spdef is so high that you don’t really need any extra investment to make it a special wall. As for trick room setters, Aromatisse, Jellicent and Whimsicott are some of my favs.
Anyway, Cursola is cute and fun to use but outside of trick room, you’re gonna have a bad time.
