This isn't just your neighbor Billy from down the street's well-trained pet doberman levels of intelligent, these creatures blur a very broad and uncanny line between heavily instructed and institutionalized animals with an already high bar for complex outputs and civilized, everyday human beings. It isn't a very common topic for discussion, but the franchise has provided ample evidence in favor of this all over the last two decades.
