Would you be ok with the next gen games having no/few new Pokemon?

With designs getting shittier and shittier each gen, and the whole dex debacle, I can't help but feel like the newer games would benefit from either no or an extremely limited amount of new Pokemon. This way Gamefreak could divert the budget from the creature design to put it into developing the graphics, story and gameplay more. Would you be okay with this? What would make the lack of new Pokemon worth it to you?
