PLA was awesome too since you could get the Gen IV starters in addition to the initial selection.
So if this implies you have the whole selection to choose from all three times:
>Sprigatito>Swampert>InfernapeEven though Sceptile's my overall favorite, I'd still go with Sprigatito since it's the newest one.
Then probably go with Swampert mid way through the game.
Last pick isn't super important since its post-game.
BUT if I could choose an entire Gen to throw in, probably Gen III half way through, then Gen VI at post-game.
