>>39083334So would I, but, you see, that depends upon whether or not you actually give yourself time.
If all you released was Pokémon year after year after year you'd burn out.
Even though I've literally autistically played over 7 years of Pokémon in hours over the last almost 21 years, even I can't play it ALL the time, obviously.
And the same would go with developing. It took me 4 years to work on 6 bits for the company I work for and I was only writing and composing it, having nothing to do with the code etc. directly. I refused to test them or even play it since release because I was just over the bit by the time I was done. Actually, before I was done, technically, because I already knew everything and didn't want anything to do with it anymore. As much as I loved bringing it to life, it was boring to me in the end.
Now granted, there were other reasons for my disdain for getting them out to begin with so the same amount of meh-ery wouldn't apply to Pokémon for me but if I had rushed into doing it time and again I'd have bored the shit out of myself into a burn out and hurt myself as much I'd have hurt the game and players for it.
This is where Game Freak is and it's all their own fault. No one who cares is going to be upset if the wait is worth it but they're pandering to idiots (both "fans" and money grubbers) instead. There is no reason whatsoever Pokémon needs to be a yearly series but MAsuda wants it anyway.
