>>55675594>>55675723You're not making sense to me, man. IMO the existence of Mega Blaziken complicates speculation, but I think its why Torchic won't be the Fire starter.
>Mega Evolution is returning. I think it is highly likely they will bring back ALL Mega Evolutions. Including Mega Blaziken.>Remember this is a Legends game. I think it is highly likely that we will see regional forms of starters again that are NOT from Kalos. With those two points established, let's look at a few different scenarios:
>All starters can Mega Evolve, but are NOT regional formsSay they go with Serperior and Empoleon and they get new Megas. Blaziken would just have its old one, so the Fire starter get gypped.
So say they make a second Mega Blaziken (Y). You would still have to put the original Mega Blaziken (X) in the game anyways.
Even still, Grass and Water starters get something brand new, whereas the Fire starter just gets a variation of what it already has. Not brand new.
>All starters are regional forms, but CANNOT Mega EvolveSo again, if all Mega Evolutions are returning, why make a regional form of Blaziken that cannot Mega Evolve?
You would have to put an alternative method for getting normal Blaziken so you can use normal Mega Blaziken.
>All starters are regional forms that CAN Mega EvolveSo you'd have to make a special Mega Evolution for the regional Blaziken.
But again you would have to put an alternative method for getting normal Blaziken so you can use normal Mega Blaziken.
So why not just have a NEW Fire starter Mega Evolve instead?
Basically it boils down to Blaziken getting something new at the cost of normal Mega Blaziken.
Or the Grass and Water starters getting something new, while the Fire starter is locked to something old.
Hopefully I explained myself well.
Personally I think we'll get the opportunity to catch the Kanto and Hoenn trio in post-game.
And the Kalos trio will either remain the starters, with Megas, or be gifted to us in the story mode.
