For a while now I've had a thing for 2D men speaking in keigo but I'm pretty sure he solidified it into an actual kink for me. If the character is topping or topping from the bottom, it makes them sound stricter and more detached/impersonal while also emphasizing their level of composure and adding an extra humiliation element for the bottom. it also makes dirty talk hotter. And if they're bottoming, the gap between trying their best to keep up the formal/professional style of speech and remaining polite while getting their brains fucked out is also hot. Both are good, but I think I enjoy top!Ingo just slightly more. But Emmet's blunt and casual style of speech is good too in its own way and the contrast is why they're the best together, especially if they both get to bully a third party
No one else cares but Ingo's speech in Japanese in PLA removes a minor quirk he had from the OG games/Masters and it's kind of driving me a bit crazy while I'm trying to translate because I can't help wondering if it's something intentional or just a mistake by the scriptwriter. I swear I've seen Japanese PLA fanwork ignore the change too.
Fellow weebs, what do you think of your husbando's speech style in Japanese and does it appeal to you? Non-weebs, do you like their translated speech style, and overall, what do you find hottest? Formal, informal or something else?
