It doesn't seem to require a "battle transformation" unlike its Complete Forme, since in the Japanese trailer it was sent out of its Poke Ball and was at full HP. Zydoge might be similar to Shaymin since Shaymin requires to interact with the Gracedia flower to swap into the Sky Forme and can only be in that Forme during daytime and will revert back when boxed.
So with the Zygarde Cube, after collecting a certain amount of cores/cells you'd be able to swap 50% into Zydoge. "When an emergency occurs, this form can take action separately from Zygarde 50% Forme, which comprises its main body. It has just a single Core performing the functions of its brain, so it can only maintain this form for a short period of time." It'll probably be time-based, but might act the same way as Shaymin's Sky Forme.
