I don't think this necessarily means that Aristotle is the 3rd. I like the idea that it'll be a scorpion, that fits really well with the design of the other two box legends. The philosophers stone theory fits really well, maybe the trio will form together and that will essentially be the philosophers stone.

It was constructed last thread to show the correct order of the timeline, using the most recent versions of the games as representative of their Generations.

In the most basic explanation, it's;

Gen 1 = Gen 3 -> Gen 2 = Gen 4 -> Black/White -> Black 2/White 2/Gen 6 -> Gen 7

That's our canon timeline.

The reason we know Gen's 1/3 and 2/4 happen alongside each other is detailed in the respective remake games. X/Y is suspected to be happening around the time of B2/W2 due to NPC dialogue, and was later confirmed by the creators.

Because the other Gens still exist anon. They didn't disappear just because Mega's got invented. Multiple universes are a thing, but the Timeline always remains unchanged.

You may be confused. The events HG/SS talk about are the Gen 1 games. HG/SS are effectively sequels to the Gen 1 games (FireRed/LeafGreen)

Side note: I really hope we get those remakes. Especially because Gen 7 is scrapping HM's, which were Gen 4's only real problem.

I think the key to finding the 3rd legendary is truly recognizing what the two legends we have represent, what they mean to each other, and what it's missing. There's always a dark and light, a positive and negative, a yin and yang, but Pokemon has become very fond of introducing the neutral, the balance, a middle ground.

I'm tired of remakes. Especially since my two best games in the series (BW2 and HGSS) are sequels, and the huge missed potential that is sequels of the games drives me nuts. ORAS should have been a sequel.

Well since everyone is getting their fun theories out there, I might as well give my lame one: I heard a couple of people suggesting that Aether could be a much more wide-spread organization then we think, and with their desire to learn all about Pokemon, could be connected to all the regional Professors - either as colleagues or even having them within the organization itself.

What if, in every game so far, with catching 'em all and filling out every single bit of information on every single Pokemon, we've been serving Aether's goals all along?

What if, in general, they've been around far before the beginning of the games? We have a consistent timeline of mankinds attempts to create Pokemon more perfectly then nature can; Magearna, harnessing the lifeforce of other Pokemon. Mewtwo, a bastardized offshoot of Mew's DNA. Genesect, a fossilmon resurrected and outfitted with high tech gadgetry to try and enslave it and increase it's power. And now Null, who looks like another Mewtwo attempt, but this time with the DNA of God; his flesh twisted and grotesque, with a bronzed mask and collar forced upon him to try and hold him down.

Colress seems like a likely member of Aether, regardless of if he physically appears in the game or not, and he was obsessed with finding the innate potential of Pokemon and humans, and harnessing them together. It was easy to think that was referring to Mega Evolutions, but maybe it wasn't?

Naming major NPCs after plants and flowers is a very, very long-standing tradition in Pokemon. The English version localizes it sometimes (Zinnia, the Professors) but doesn't bother other times (the Elite Four, Steven Stone, the Frontier Brains).

This just blew my mind. The fact that someone made the connection between colress and the aether foundation and the sings on hos book etc. Just baffles me. This has to be a thing, there's just no way that's all coincidental. Thiz also makes my wonder if GF just looks back at games and tries to recycle some old stuff or actually planned this far ahead.

alright stay with me here, in the pokemon ORAS manga it was stated that the meteor falling toward hoenn was a pokemon, as an explanation for why pokemon seemed to be able to mega evolve outside of battle. now, that meteor was broken into tons of little pieces when raquaza broke through it; pieces that were probably scattered all over. and than, for sun/moon pic related was introduced. so, since we don't have any evidence otherwise, what if minior wasn't exclusive to alola, but instead all minior were merely fragments of the meteor in ORAS.

I think Game Freak realized they have too many Mythical "Event" Pokémon. They put Deoxys into OR/AS, and I suspect they'll keep putting Mythical Pokémon into the games so they don't have to worry about Event demand stacking.

If we get D/P remakes, I bet my bottom dollar we will get a post-game plot revolving around Cresselia and Darkrai.

And, I am thinking maybe just maybe, Arceus may be in S/M, assuming Zygarde isn't the entire Post-Game.

A lot of people keep saying that Type:Null exists to fight Arceus, but it's description says that its Chimera body is meant to be able to adapt to any "environment". Interpretation that as simply the literal sense and now with further thoughts combined with the idea that you as the player enter the Ultra Beast World via the box legendary, isn't it better to simply assume that Type:Null was created for the express reason to fight Ultra Beasts and be able to survive within whatever environment they live in? It's likely that Aether studied Ultra Beasts or at the very least unlocked the secret of Ultra Beasts at some point and feared that these Ultra Beasts were as strong as something like Arceus and would completely threaten their well being. There's probably going to be other Type:Nulls or at the very least unlocking Gladio's true power will allow you to survive with UB World without issue.

I'm very excited for this World hopping journey and I'd like to hope that it's just more than one world per Ultra Beast or something similar.

Type: Null may be an eevee that was experimented on and was forced to evolve with multiple different methods at the same time by the aether foundation. There's a theory stating that the 3 beasts of johto were originally eevee that died and were ressurected by Ho-Oh. Instead of them evolving into jolteon vaporeon and flareon, they essentially turned into mythical beasts. Type: Null could have been an attempt at recreating this using alchemy but the experiment obviously went wrong and it was insanely powerful. So the creators of Type: Null made a helmet made to hinder it's powers.

Some science asshole (namely the whatever foundation) saw a super powerful pokemon, thought "oh shit i should make one of those" and tried to do so by slapping every single type onto a home brewed pokefetus. Turns out everything just sort of canceled eachother out, though, and it turned into a regular ass normal type. Maybe it's unrelated to Arceus and someone just wanted to make an every-type 'mon.

What the fuck could there possibly be left to discuss?

noticed a patterns?

both pokemon XY and oras were shit and barely had focus.
it was confirmed that the engine was built alongside with XY so less time was spent fleshing out XY.

Even though pokemon ORAS was directed by ohmori, masuda still had a large hand in the project because masuda wanted to make the game easier while also removing the battle frontier.
Now ohmori has free reigns and has a different vision than masuda,
ohmuri wants to shake things up this generation with S&M and changed up the formula,

masuda on the otherhand wanted things to stay the same while also striking a balance in one of his interviews.

This isn't the case anymore with ohmori.

This is it niggers, masuda is the true villain all along.

Data Colress got on Genesect and the Kyurem forms during his time as a Plasma member contributed to Type: Null's creation.

DNA Splicer data helped them figure out how to create their own chimera.

Techno Blast and Drive data served as the basis for mimicking Arceus.

It probably isn't a coincidence that Ghetsis had the Sinnoh trio's orbs. Same for the orbs being present around Zygarde in Terminus Cave.

In the original RSE, the meteor carrying Deoxys landed eons earlier than the one that threatens everyone in ORAS, creating Birth Island. Over time, the virus mutates into Deoxys, due to it's proximity near Pokemon.

In ORAS however, the meteor is blasted by the energy beam fired by King AZ. Due to the Ultimate Weapon being being powered by the souls of dead Pokemon (Or Infinte Energy if you will), the virus now mutates on the meteor, and by the time it reaches Earth it has become Deoxys.

This beam of energy also has the side effect of slowing the speed of the meteor, hence why it arrives so much later in ORAS than in RSE

Guys there is something bothering me about team skull and I need your clafrifications towards my thoughts.

First, Team Skull does not look like bad guys to me since they look a lot like those roughneck hooligans. Moreover, they don't seem to have a proper organized hierarchy in their institution, like having a R&D department and etc which are commonly seen in the previous gens. With that said, I came up with two possibilities,

1) Team Skull will hijack Aether Foundation and using their technological expertise and facilities to achieve whatever they are plotting since team skull does not have the required logistics to do so.

OR

2) Aether Foundation will be the final boss or final confrontation of the game. Mind you that the final boss I meant here was that Aether Foundation itself is the embodiment of what Colress is trying to achieve. Therefore as their research goes on, things either went south or went into their favour that could pose threat to the world and the lead protagonist had to stop it. Why I said so because Corless for example may be part of Team Plasma but he has its own ideals and goals to achieve unlike Ghetsis who is outright evil.

Why I say it must be Aether Foundation is due to the fact that team skull does not look like an actual big bad organization that could pose threat to the world. I really hope that there will be a plot twist in pokemon's story where Lusamine is the final enemy in game itself

Also, remember that from gen IV on, there was a weird scientist, associated with the evil team, who was definitely a one off character who seemed out of place, and was using the evil team's funds for a personal project of sorts. They don't even seem to care whether or not the team actually succeeds.

Charon in Platinum, Colress in BW2, and Xerosic in XY. Charon always struck me as particularly out of place. Why did they even hype him if you didn't battle him? Why did they add him even if he contributed nothing to the story? He didn't even care about Galactic's goals.

Mallow is a pretty large plant family which most notably encompasses the hibiscus family in Hawaii. Also one endemic cotton. She's also apparently wearing a hibiscus in her hair. The flower is pretty generic, so I say apparently.

Note, Hawaii has the only naturally fragrant species of Hibiscus. Also the only naturally yellow species of Hibiscus. The yellow one being the state flower.

Kiawe is named after the introduced Kiawe trees. They make excellent firewood/ grilling wood, and they can grow in locations that are too dry for other trees by absorbing all of the water in the ground. This conversely gets rid of competing trees.

What is there to discuss anymore, honestly?

The lore is a clusterfuck now. Thematically there is no consistency. There are contradictions here and there because the animu writing and edgelord one-upping of legendaries.

There's no point posting theories. What you should realize is that the team putting these games together now don't care about consistency and lore. They just insert whatever cringe ideas they have all taking the franchise in multiple different directions.

It took me some searching, but I figured out the plant Nariya Oak is based off of.
Nariya is native to Okinawa in Japan, its found elsewhere, but Nariya is only called Nariya in Okinawa, hence the katakana instead of hiragana. Notably, it can be found being cultivated in Hawaii under the name Arundina graminifolia or Peacock Orchids for use as a decorative plant.

Yeah, Team Plasma in "WHITE" Uniforms.

Remember, those guys disbanded, and were replaced by the Black Uniformed Neo-Plasma 2 years later in B2/W2.

So when the NPC mentions Team Plasma in white uniforms being around a while ago, he is of course referring to when they were at large 2 years ago, during the original B/W.

This is the correct timeline (sans S/M). Also those games don't necessarily follow linearly from one another in the timeline you posted, that's why the third/definitive versions are used as representatives of the games in the correct timeline.

I'm a lot more interested in this "Azoth" business. According to Wikipedia, Azoth is essentially Mercury, or a component thereof, anyway, which was said to be the purest catalyst of alchemical transmutation. Also to note is that Mercury makes up one third of a very significant trio in alchemy, with the other members being salt and sulfur, the alchemical symbols for which Alola's starters resemble in appearance.

Main point: Game Freak has been planning these games since before X and Y.

So I did a bit more digging into the mythos surrounding Azoth, and it's not exactly the -chemical- Mercury, although they are linked in more ways than one. A better description of the Azoth is the very driving force -- the "spiritus animatis," as Wikipedia puts it -- of humanity that drives it to attain physical and spiritual perfection. Not only this, the Azoth seems to also have a physical incarnation as the "Elixir of Life" or "The Universal Solvent," and was known as the cure for any mental, spiritual, or physical ailment. Essentially, it's liquid perfection.

Another thing I find interesting is that Azoth's name was constructed from the first and last letters of the Latin, Greek, and Hebrew alphabets, in that order: A/Alpha/Aleph, Z, Omega, and Tau.

Beginning and End. AZ Alpha and Omega. Day and Night.

This is going to be the biggest generation yet.

Gladion it`s not part of Team Skull, he's only taking their side. He even has any symbol of them. And it's obvious that Gladion, Lillie and Lusamine are related.

And AEther are not what they seems to be. You feel it in your bones.

But where is Type: Null from? Team Skull is made of dumb grunts and they can't make such a thing.

So, here I go (It not a big thing): Maybe Gladion was gifted or steal T:N from AEther (I can see you Faba), because it's part of AEther plan or Gladion don't like what AEther are doing.

OR maybe Faba is the bad Guy. It's working on it's own and Lusamine doens't know it. He gave Y:N to Gladion, Lusamine little brother to hunt something that can break the worl or whatever.

Pic related: AEther logo seems to be the family crest of the blondies, AND fits with T:N mask.
